Just Obito

Listening to the chatter around him, Obito was on the verge of a mental breakdown. Had he just been publicly humiliated? Was there no room for discussion at all? They'd just exposed his identity outright?

"Just you wait!" Obito glared resentfully at Uchiha Gen, his blood-red Sharingan filled with malice as he fixed his gaze on him. A ripple spun through the air, and Obito vanished with it!

Watching Obito disappear, Uchiha Gen was beside himself with anxiety. Damn it, Hiruzen Sarutobi was so unreliable. Obito had already shown up, and he still hadn't.

The same went for Namikaze Minato. Wasn't the Flying Thunder God supposed to be fast? And he was the Yellow Flash? This was it? Where was the flash? Only the yellow was left???

Judging by Obito's expression as he left, he had it in for Gen now! If Gen didn't keep Obito here today, who knew what he'd do to him later? As the saying went, it was better to fear a thief who had his eye on you than one who'd already robbed you! There was no way to guard against a thief forever!

But the problem was that Gen had to suppress the Nine-Tails right now, and Obito had left without hesitation, not giving him a chance to act. Who knew what those two useless fools, Hiruzen Sarutobi and Namikaze Minato, were doing at a time like this! That old schemer Danzo was probably hoping Gen would keep burning through his ocular power. Even if he was nearby, he wouldn't come help!

This was tough!

"Grr!" The Nine-Tails beneath him tried to roar in frustration, but its mouth was sealed shut!

"Shut up! Can't you see I'm already pissed off?" Uchiha Gen said, punching the Nine-Tails in the head!

The Konoha Ninja around them had no idea what to do, so they could only remain on guard!

"Whoosh!" Namikaze Minato finally arrived, bringing his wife and the Lord Third with him!

"Thank you for your hard work, fellow Uchiha—uh..." Namikaze Minato began, then realized he didn't know the man's name, so he could only address him as one of the Uchiha!

"Let's not get into whether I've had a hard time. What's going on with Uzumaki Kushina? From the looks of it, you even had time to change her clothes! You really don't treat me like a person!" Uchiha Gen roared when he saw Kushina's still-damp hair and spotless clothes!

"Uh, I can explain. Kushina was in critical condition after giving birth, when a mysterious person took the opportunity to release the Nine-Tails. In that state, how could we seal the Nine-Tails? So we took her to Konoha Hospital first. And she'd just given birth, so she was dirty, well, you know!" Namikaze Minato hurriedly explained.

"Okay, okay. Kushina, get ready!" Seeing this, Minato said no more and told Kushina to prepare for the sealing.

Normally, a Jinchuriki died when a Tailed Beast was extracted from them. But Kushina was a member of the Uzumaki Clan, so she could survive for two hours. After receiving timely treatment at Konoha Hospital, she had already recovered a little. Fortunately, the Nine-Tails had only been out of her for a short while. As long as it was sealed back inside her promptly and she had time to recuperate, her life wouldn't be in danger.

Of course, that was just what Namikaze Minato and the Lord Third thought. In reality, it was all useless.

"Ah! Minato, hurry! I can't hold it back much longer!" Kushina looked at Minato with tears in her eyes!

"How could this be? It shouldn't be like this!" Minato was no longer as composed as before!

"Kushina lost too much of her life force earlier, and giving birth took a further toll on her. Her body can no longer bear the Nine-Tails. If only Tsunade were here..." Hiruzen Sarutobi sighed sadly from the side.

"Stop wasting time. If she can't do it, find someone who can. Seal the Nine-Tails first, then talk, okay?" Uchiha Gen urged anxiously!

"Lord Third, have the Sealing Team prepare to assist. I'll bring Naruto here! Naruto is my and Kushina's child. He'll be able to do it!" Namikaze Minato said decisively as he watched Kushina suffering!

"Naruto? That's the child's name? All right, I'll make the arrangements!" Hiruzen Sarutobi immediately sprang into action!

Namikaze Minato also vanished with a "whoosh."

That left Uchiha Gen sitting atop the Nine-Tails, Kushina lying down, and a group of Konoha Ninja standing around them, exchanging awkward glances.

With a "whoosh," Minato was the first to return, carrying the baby. A few minutes later, the Lord Third arrived with a group of specialists!

"Lord Third, I'll leave Naruto and the sealing to you! I'll go find Lady Tsunade first! Kushina won't last much longer!" With that, Minato put the baby down and disappeared.

The Ninja World was vast. Finding someone in a short time was no easy feat. Even for someone like Namikaze Minato, who could plant markers all over the world, the search was still difficult. Fortunately, Konoha knew Tsunade's approximate whereabouts. With Minato's speed and the Flying Thunder God, he could search for her based on her habit of frequenting casinos. If he was lucky, Kushina might be able to hold on until he brought Tsunade back!

The Lord Third had already begun organizing people to seal the Nine-Tails! Once the Nine-Tails entered Naruto, Uchiha Gen also dismissed his Susanoo! At last, the night had passed without further incident!

"Lord Third, if there's nothing else, I'll head home and get some sleep," Uchiha Gen said, seeing everyone around him busy while he had nothing to do.

"Uh, what was your name again?" Hiruzen Sarutobi asked Uchiha Gen, looking a little embarrassed.

"Gen. My name is Uchiha Gen. All right, Lord Third, I'm heading out." Uchiha Gen waved and prepared to go back to Kage Rock to roll out his bedding.

"Gen, wait a moment. Konoha is in chaos, and the Nine-Tails has only just been sealed, so it's still unstable. If anything happens, all our efforts will have been in vain. We also don't know whether that mysterious person might come back for another attack. Stay and help us for now!" Hiruzen Sarutobi tried to persuade him with both emotion and reason!

Well, with that said, Uchiha Gen could only stay and keep watch! As time passed, Naruto remained stable, but Kushina's condition worsened. The medical ninja were doing everything they could to save her, but they still couldn't stop her life from slowly slipping away!

"Minato, please come back soon..." Kushina held Naruto in her arms, despair spreading through her eyes as she whispered softly!

It turned out Minato was lucky after all. At the last moment, he managed to bring Tsunade back!

"What happened to Konoha?" Tsunade asked, shocked as she looked around!

"There's no time to explain, Lady Tsunade. You have to save Kushina!" Minato urged her anxiously!

"Ah, right!" Tsunade immediately turned to look at Kushina, who was lying down!

After examining her, Tsunade's brow furrowed deeper and deeper. At last, she stood and sighed. "I can only keep her life from slipping away for a while, but I can't restore her life force. The only way she can survive is if her life force is replenished and the Nine-Tails is sealed inside her again."

"How long is 'a while'?" Minato asked urgently!
