Tsukuyomi! It's fun and doesn't hurt the body!
"You shameless beast!" Pakura scolded, her voice weak and trembling.
"Say whatever you want. I enjoyed it, didn't you?" Uchiha Gen replied with a roguish grin.
"You! Come here!" Pakura's face flushed crimson.
"Why? Want to hit me? I'm not coming over!" Uchiha Gen braced himself, watching in confusion as Pakura slumped to the ground.
"I'm... not in a good state. Take off your coat and give it to me!" Pakura struggled to get the words out. Uchiha Gen had already traversed the path to a woman's heart countless times; even though this was a genjutsu space, the sensations were indistinguishable from reality. The intensity had forced Pakura's body to react against her will.
Seeing her expression, Uchiha Gen suddenly recalled her behavior in the genjutsu space and realized what was happening. He quickly took off his outer coat and stepped forward to wrap it around her waist.
Pakura wrapped the coat around herself and ran toward her home without a backward glance. Uchiha Gen couldn't be bothered to chase her; the deed was already done.
The next day, Namikaze Minato and his group, accompanied by a fully recovered Kushina, formally bid farewell to the high-ranking officials of Sunagakure. Pakura was among the crowd.
Watching her, Uchiha Gen suddenly remembered that in the original story, this beauty was supposedly betrayed and killed by Sunagakure in the near future. No way. The only one allowed to bully my woman is me!
Tsukuyomi!
Genjutsu space!
"What do you want now? There are so many people outside—are you really not afraid of dying, you beast?" Pakura looked around the familiar scene in panic.
"You're quite lewd, aren't you? I didn't expect you to be that kind of person, Pakura! I only wanted to talk about something serious, but the moment you arrived, you asked me what I wanted!" Uchiha Gen gave a wicked smile.
"Ah!" Pakura's face turned bright red.
"Alright, long story short: I've received intelligence that the condition for the peace talks between Kirigakure and your Sunagakure is your life. If the high-ranking officials ask you to go negotiate with Kirigakure, you'd better be careful. It's highly likely you've already been sold out by them," Uchiha Gen said truthfully.
"Impossible! Absolutely impossible! I have rendered meritorious service and shed blood for Sunagakure. The high-ranking officials would never treat me like this. Are you trying to sow discord? Do you think I'm so easily fooled?" Pakura looked at him in disbelief.
"Sigh, why won't you believe me when I'm telling the truth? What is our relationship? Would I ever harm you? Besides, even if I wanted to, you couldn't beat me, so why would I need to use other methods?" Uchiha Gen looked at her, speechless.
"Hmph!" Pakura closed her eyes and remained silent, whether out of refusal to listen or an inability to face the truth.
"Forget it. I won't say more. You'll believe me once you experience it yourself. You really are stubborn. When you receive such a mission from the Sunagakure higher-ups, remember to give me a heads-up. I'll come to back you up—that's fine, right?" Uchiha Gen said.
"Ha, so you've finally shown your true colors. You just want to sabotage the peace talks between our village and Kirigakure, don't you?" Pakura turned to look at him.
"I give up. I'm your man, for heaven's sake—would I harm you? I guess normal communication isn't working. Let me show you the 'Invincible Cool Wheel Dance Flash Awei Eighteen Styles' as a farewell gesture of friendship. Who knows if you'll even be alive to play next time? I'll take the initiative, you just relax!" Uchiha Gen started taking off his clothes again.
"Wait, wait! I believe you! Isn't that enough?" Pakura's face paled as she witnessed his beastly behavior.
"You really believe me?" Uchiha Gen asked, holding up his trousers with a skeptical look.
"I really do!" Pakura said with utmost sincerity.
"Fine then. Remember to send me word in advance so I can save you. If I find out you were playing me, I'll strip you bare and hang you on the gates of Sunagakure!" Uchiha Gen said seriously as he pulled up his pants.
"You..." Pakura was stunned. She was a renowned ninja who had survived the Third Great Ninja War; what kind of scenes hadn't she seen? But this was the first time she had encountered someone as shameless as Uchiha Gen. How did Konoha produce such a freak?
"Don't 'you' me. I'm doing this for your own good. If it were anyone else, I wouldn't care if they lived or died! Sigh, who told you to be my woman?" Uchiha Gen said righteously.
"Who is your woman? Even if you've obtained my body, you'll never get my heart!" Pakura retorted in a rage.
"Heh, I'm just a shallow, worldly man. Obtaining your body is enough for me! Oh, right—you know who the death-row prisoner chosen by your village to perform the One's Own Life Reincarnation is, right?" He licked his lips lewdly.
"Hmph, I don't know, and I have no interest in knowing!" Pakura didn't want to deal with this detestable beast.
"If you don't know, go find out. While you're at it, help me collect some of his hair. That shouldn't be hard, right? He's probably not anyone important anyway!" Uchiha Gen planned silently.
"He's just an ordinary Special Jonin. Why do you want his hair?" Pakura looked at him, puzzled. It wasn't that the ninja world lacked ways to read information from the dead, but that required searching the deceased's brain! What could a few strands of hair do? It might be enough for scent tracking, but the problem was that the target was a dead man! What was the point of tracking a corpse?
"You don't need to know that. As your man, can't you even satisfy this small request? It's not like I'm asking you to betray Sunagakure, nor do I need you to steal classified secrets! It's just a few strands of hair; that shouldn't be too difficult for our Lady Pakura, right?" Uchiha Gen didn't offer further explanation.
"Hmph, 'my man'—you really are thick-skinned. But if it's just a few strands of hair, that's not a problem. Leave it to me. I'll bring it to you next time we meet!" Pakura hesitated for a moment before agreeing.
"Good, then I'll leave it to you. That's all for today. I've said what I needed to say. I look forward to our next meeting!" As the surrounding space shattered, Uchiha Gen voluntarily dispelled the Tsukuyomi, and the two returned to the outside world.
"Gen, stop daydreaming. It's time to go!" Kushina urged from the side.
"Oh, coming!" Uchiha Gen quickly followed.
"Why do you keep staring at that female sand ninja? Is there something wrong with her?" Kushina leaned in and asked.
"Hm? Is that Scorch Release Pakura?" Namikaze Minato followed Kushina's gaze.
"Nothing's wrong. I just thought she was quite pretty, so I was admiring her for a bit," Uchiha Gen turned his head to explain.
"Hm? Is that so? Gen is sixteen this year, right? It's about time to find a girlfriend, though someone from Sunagakure might not be suitable! After all, the relationship between our two villages is what it is," Namikaze Minato advised.
"Should I introduce you to someone? There are plenty of beautiful female ninjas in Konoha," Kushina added, fanning the flames. She was very grateful to the young man who had saved her; if not for him, her family would likely be destroyed, and poor little Naruto would have grown up without a mother!
