Rule of the Kazahana Brothers

Under Kazahana Sōsetsu, the Land of Snow pursued geothermal heating technology intended to improve civilian life. The expense of these projects contributed to public resentment, enabling his brother, Kazahana Dōtō, to seize power. 76 78

Dōtō prioritized military development instead, directing national funds toward Chakra Armor and his privately recruited Snow Ninja force. His search for Sōsetsu’s supposed “treasure” was driven by the belief that it could rescue the country’s worsening financial position; the treasure was ultimately a geothermal heating device. 78

Koyuki’s Restoration

After Dōtō’s coup, his niece and heir Kazahana Koyuki lived under the identity of Yukie Fujikaze. Sandayū Asama maintained contact with subjects and officials still loyal to Koyuki and prepared them to take over the government after Dōtō’s removal. 34 76

Uchiha Gen returned with Koyuki as her consort and defeated Dōtō’s Snow Ninja Trio before confronting Dōtō himself. Nadare Rōga, Fubuki Kakuyoku, and Fuyukuma Fuyuki ultimately submitted to the restoration side. 120 121 122
