"Damn it, I forgot one thing!"

Uchiha Gray slapped his forehead in frustration. Although as a transmigrator he had a very clear understanding of the general plot of the Leaf, so many years had passed that he had forgotten some of the finer details and events not explicitly shown in the original work.

"Uchiha brat, you'd better go back. If you want to take a mission, go home and bring an adult with you."

The ninja's kind reminder showed he wasn't hostile toward the Uchiha Clan like some others.

"You want to take a mission?"

Uchiha Shisui walked over, unable to help but ask curiously, "And one that requires leaving the village?"

Uchiha Shisui pondered for a moment. He had nothing to do right now, and if he could use this opportunity to build a friendship with Uchiha Gray, that would be perfect!

"I happen to have some free time lately; how about I take you on a mission?" Uchiha Shisui asked, testing the waters.

As for why Uchiha Gray wanted to leave the village for a mission, that was outside the scope of his concerns. Besides, if he were to ask such a question, it should be after he had already helped Uchiha Gray.

This was his usual approach toward other members of the Uchiha clan; as long as you showed goodwill toward them, they would treat you as a friend.

Uchiha Gray's expression remained calm as he lowered his head, seemingly weighing the feasibility of the matter, though he was secretly overjoyed.

Uchiha Shisui was, after all, a being who possessed the Mangekyou Sharingan.

If he were to go on a mission outside the village with him, his own life would undoubtedly be as secure as if he had a cheat code for infinite health!

"Fine," Uchiha Gray said indifferently. "But I have one requirement."

"During the mission, I must have complete freedom of movement. I have many things I still need to understand, so no matter where I go or what I do, you are not to stop me!"

Uchiha Gray spoke calmly.

The ninja stationed at the mission hall nearby widened his eyes.
