Uchiha Gray helplessly slapped his forehead. As a transmigrator, he knew the general course of events in Naruto very well.
But so many years had passed, and he'd forgotten some minor details, as well as things the original story had never shown.
And it was precisely the details he'd dismissed as unimportant that could lead to his utter ruin!
"In the original story, the Uchiha Clan's rebellion happened three years from now."
Uchiha Gray's eyes turned cold. "But in reality, the Uchiha Clan originally planned to rebel in six months."
"The rebellion was delayed because Shimura Danzō killed Uchiha Shisui. That weakened the Uchiha Clan's strongest fighters, costing them a Mangekyō Sharingan. It forced Fugaku Uchiha to rethink the rebellion!"
Now that he planned to bring Uchiha Shisui under his wing and had exposed the darkness within the Leaf to him,
Uchiha Shisui would naturally be on guard against Shimura Danzō and Sarutobi Hiruzen.
If he didn't die, then there was no doubt the Uchiha Clan's rebellion would happen a full two years earlier!
"Dammit!"
Uchiha Gray's head throbbed.
This had completely thrown off his plans. If the Uchiha Clan's rebellion were set for three years from now, he'd have plenty of time to improve his strength and earn Sarutobi Hiruzen's trust.
But now that the timeline had shrunk to six months, Uchiha Gray was suddenly in a difficult position.

But with Uchiha Shisui's support, combined with Fugaku Uchiha's own Mangekyō Sharingan,
the Uchiha Clan's odds of winning would rise above 80 percent. That was the power of the Mangekyō Sharingan: the strength to change the course of a war single-handedly!
A strange light flickered in Uchiha Gray's eyes. "I need to hurry up and get stronger!"
The next day.
Uchiha Gray went straight to the mission hall without hesitation. If he wanted to improve his strength, leaving the village to check in was essential!
Uchiha Gray furrowed his brow as he studied the mission listings for a long while. "Are there really no missions that let a Genin leave the village alone?"
Hundreds of missions were listed on the wall.
But not one allowed a Genin to leave the village alone.
"Of course not, you little Uchiha." The ninja stationed in the mission hall gave Uchiha Gray an irritated look.
"Even if you're an Uchiha kid with a powerful talent, you can't go out of the village on a mission by yourself."
"The Shinobi World isn't as simple as you imagine. It's full of killing and darkness."
"Especially for shinobi with Kekkei Genkai like you. You could run into someone coveting your eyes at any moment."
"There could be rogue ninja somewhere in the Land of Fire right now, waiting for someone from the Uchiha or Hyuga Clan to leave the village so they can steal your eyes!"
"Heh."
Uchiha Gray chuckled. The ninja before him didn't seem to mean any harm. "If they want my eyes, they're not strong enough!"
Uchiha Gray wasn't being arrogant. Though he couldn't guarantee he'd make it out of the Uchiha rebellion six months from now unscathed,
against ordinary ninja, he had more than enough ways to protect himself—and strike back.
"Even if you're confident, there's nothing you can do. Those are the village's rules. If you want to take a mission outside the village, a jonin has to take it with you."
Uchiha Gray gave a faint smile.
That wasn't a problem. He glanced casually behind him.
Uchiha Shisui had been following him for a full half hour, ever since morning. He hadn't bothered dealing with him, but now it seemed he might have to rely on Uchiha Shisui to take the mission.
"Little Uchiha, you should head home. If you want to take a mission, go find an adult and bring them here."
The ninja kindly offered the reminder. Unlike the others, he didn't seem hostile toward the Uchiha Clan.
"You want to take a mission?"
Uchiha Shisui came over and asked curiously, "And you want one that takes you outside the village?"
Uchiha Shisui thought it over. He didn't have anything to do right now, and if this gave him a chance to befriend Uchiha Gray,
it would be ideal!
Uchiha Gray was a peace-loving, exceptionally talented young man!
"I happen to be free for a while. How about I take you on a mission?" Uchiha Shisui asked tentatively.
Why Uchiha Gray wanted to take an out-of-village mission wasn't something he'd considered. Besides, if he wanted to ask, he should do it after helping Uchiha Gray.
That was how he usually dealt with other Uchiha. As long as he showed goodwill toward someone from the Uchiha Clan, they would treat him as a friend.
Uchiha Gray stayed calm, lowering his head as if weighing the idea. But inside, he was overjoyed.
Uchiha Shisui was a man with a Mangekyō Sharingan!
If Uchiha Shisui went out on a mission with him, his life would be protected as if he had a cheat that locked his health bar!
"Fine," Uchiha Gray said coolly. "But I have one condition."
"During the mission, I want complete freedom of action. There are a lot of things I still need to learn about, so wherever I go and whatever I do, you can't stop me!"
Uchiha Gray spoke evenly.
The ninja stationed in the mission hall stared wide-eyed.
What was going on?
Body Flicker Shisui of the Uchiha Clan was actually volunteering to take this kid on a mission!
This was Body Flicker Shisui—the Leaf's strongest genjutsu ninja!
But why was the kid acting so impatient?
And why was he making it seem as though he wouldn't team up with Uchiha Shisui unless he agreed to that one condition?
