Creating a Summoning Beast for His Master

Orochimaru looked at the billion in banknotes before him, a pale smile curling at the corner of his mouth.

"Without a billion in banknotes, how could Shimura Danzō possibly develop even more powerful genetic science and help Master?"

Orochimaru turned to look at a glass container.

Inside were chunks of Manda's corpse.

Orochimaru murmured to himself, admiration in his eyes. "Master is simply too powerful, but he doesn't have a summoning beast yet."

"So I need to raise the Second Generation Manda as quickly as possible!"

"I'll add some different genes to the Second Generation Manda. Then it'll become an even more powerful being!"

Orochimaru then opened a note in his hand. Uchiha Gray had given it to him before leaving.

Orochimaru looked puzzled as he stared intently at the kunoichi in the glass container, whom he had prepared long ago.

His hoarse voice rang through the cave. "How did Master know I was researching the Reincarnation Technique?"

"And why did he warn me not to use it? Could the Reincarnation Technique have some kind of flaw?"

That was Orochimaru!

Even after being hit by Kotoamatsukami, he still retained his love of science and his desire to pursue it.

"There must be some flaw in the Reincarnation Technique. In that case, I'll use genjutsu to control someone else and conduct experiments first."

"I'll only use it once the Reincarnation Technique is truly perfected!"

His eyes blazed with fervor.

Soon, his body paused. "Once I've finished researching the Second Generation Manda, I'll send one to Master."

"Master probably doesn't have a summoning beast yet. With one, he'll become even more powerful!"

With that, Orochimaru plunged back into his work.

Uchiha Gray's lips curled into a faint, inscrutable smile.

After a month of physical training and sparring with Uchiha Obito, he had finally figured out how strong he was.

He was unquestionably an Elite Jonin!

As his mastery of the Sage Body and Kizaru's Glint-Glint Fruit ability template continued to grow, he would eventually rise to Kage Level!

What disappointed Gray, though, was that he still hadn't managed to develop Wood Release.

"Now that I've met Uchiha Obito, given that hotheaded idiot's personality, he probably won't let it go after taking a loss to me."

Uchiha Gray's lips curled into a faint, inscrutable smile. "But since Obito plans to wipe out the Uchiha Clan, he'll inevitably need to find someone in the clan he can deceive and manipulate."

Gray's smile deepened.

There were only a few ninjas in the Uchiha Clan with exceptional talent.

Uchiha Shisui, me, and Uchiha Itachi.

Since he couldn't get anywhere with me, there was no doubt Uchiha Obito would approach Uchiha Itachi.

But with me around, Uchiha Itachi would never become the traitorous ninja he was in the original story.

If Uchiha Itachi remained stubborn, I'd personally eliminate the threat!

Uchiha Gray was eager to see Uchiha Obito's face when Uchiha Itachi rejected his invitation again.

"By the way, Shisui, keep an eye out lately. If Danzō invites you to meet him alone, make sure to bring me along," Uchiha Gray said calmly.

He wasn't entirely sure when Danzō would make his move.

He could make an educated guess based on the original story and the timing of Uchiha Itachi awakening his Mangekyō Sharingan.

There was about a year left before Danzō went after Shisui.

But now, there was a butterfly like him in the ninja world. The butterfly effect was bound to happen.

That meant there could be unexpected changes he needed to watch out for.

"Danzō inviting me to meet him alone?" Uchiha Shisui was taken aback.

He didn't quite understand what Uchiha Gray meant. His words were vague.

"Anyway, just be wary of Shimura Danzō. That old man might be coveting your Mangekyō Sharingan."

Uchiha Shisui didn't take it to heart.

Instead, he looked at Gray, who was calmly eating right in front of him after setting the Forest of Death on fire and causing a huge commotion.

He couldn't help but marvel.

Gray's nerves were unbelievably strong.

"Okay, I understand. I'll get going, then. The Third has been assigning me more and more missions lately."

Truthfully, Shisui didn't take Gray's warning to heart. He was already strong enough to be at Kage Level.

At most, Shimura Danzō was only an Elite Jonin!

Though Uchiha Shisui was gentle with his friends, he was also proud of himself as a wielder of the Mangekyō Sharingan.

Shisui explained, "Even though the Third Shinobi World War is over, there are constant minor clashes between countries because of it, so there are a lot of missions."

"Since none of them are strong enough to start another war, they can only clash on a smaller scale."

Uchiha Gray understood.

That was the Shinobi World. Even though the Third Shinobi World War had ended, small-scale conflicts still broke out.

It was like Uchiha Itachi's recent awakening of the Sharingan, which had happened when a friend was killed during a mission outside the village.

After saying that, Uchiha Shisui left.

Uchiha Gray glanced at Shisui's unconcerned expression and realized he hadn't taken the warning to heart at all.

That made sense. It was like asking Uchiha Madara to worry about the Five Kage Allied Forces.

"Shisui, you're the little brother I've set my sights on. How could I let you die so easily?"

Uchiha Gray smiled faintly.

"System, bring up my personal status!" Uchiha Gray ordered.
