Background

Lin Yao is a transmigrator who arrives in the Douling Empire as the only son of Lin Xueli, the empire’s chief academic official. Aware that his family’s political standing offers wealth but limited military protection, he approaches cultivation, resources, and alliances with deliberate pragmatism. 1 2

During his awakening ceremony, Lin Yao manifests a twin-Martial-Soul combination: the Ender Dragon, associated with destruction, and the Enchanted Golden Apple, associated with life. The phenomenon creates a pillar of light visible from afar and draws the attention of the God of Destruction and Goddess of Life. 1 2

The two gods place divine trials within him, intended to activate once he reaches the required cultivation level. Upon becoming a Soul Master at age nine, Lin Yao receives the First Trial of the God of Destruction: defeat a 30,000-year soul beast. 2 15
