Mu Jin began the freshman term as the homeroom teacher of Shrek Academy's Freshman Class 2. She introduced herself as responsible for guiding the class through its initial three-month term and its assessment for formal first-year admission. Her teaching included the history and development of soul masters, supported by anecdotes from the soul master world. 23 24

Unlike Zhou Yi, Mu Jin did not expel students indiscriminately. During the freshman term, she removed only students genuinely unable to continue due to cultivation, psychological, or physical limitations. 25
