History

Before entering the Ninja Academy, Sasuke sought recognition from Fugaku while feeling overshadowed by Itachi’s achievements. Fugaku’s decision to accompany Itachi on a mission on the eve of Sasuke’s enrollment left Sasuke disappointed and determined to distinguish himself. 135

At the Academy, Hua Yue praised Sasuke’s potential as possibly exceeding Itachi’s. Sasuke was immediately drawn to Hua Yue’s presence and Sharingan, while Fugaku encouraged him to regard Hua Yue as a model. 136
