Background

Hanazuki was orphaned during the Second Shinobi World War after both of his parents died. Raised by the Konoha Orphanage as though he were a biological child, the repeated death notices became the trauma that awakened his Mangekyo Sharingan. He was subsequently revealed to be the jinchuriki of the Black Nine-Tails. 2

During his graduation examination, Hanazuki discovered the Black Nine-Tails within his inner world and gained access to the Limited Tsukuyomi Ninja World Sign-in System. The system allows him to obtain abilities, techniques, traits, and items through character sign-ins. 1 3

He graduated from the Ninja Academy alongside Mitarashi Anko and Uzuki Yugao as the Third Shinobi World War demanded newly graduated children be sent to battle. Personality

Hanazuki is cynical about Konoha's leadership and deeply hostile toward the practice of sending children to war. He considers the elders hypocritical for promoting the Will of Fire while retaining power and treating young shinobi as expendable. 3 18

Despite his arrogance, bluntness, and frequent disrespect for authority, he repeatedly protects comrades and civilians. He is calculating and self-preserving rather than blindly heroic.
