"Sister Tsunade, may I come in?"
Looking at the large tent that Tsunade had all to herself, Qi Luna felt a pang of envy.
She was the granddaughter of the First Hokage, the direct disciple of the Third Hokage, and a Konoha jonin known as the "Medical Sage." Compared to herself, who had to squeeze into a small tent with three other chunin, Tsunade's accommodations were far superior.
"Come in. Since when are you so formal with me?"
Recognizing her cousin's voice, Tsunade naturally had no objections to Qi Luna's small request, even adding a playful, teasing remark.
"What's this? Getting polite with me now?"
Once Qi Luna entered the tent, Tsunade instinctively reached out to ruffle his hair. However, remembering how Qi Luna had "threatened" her earlier that morning, she softened the motion into a gentle pat.
"Hey, I was just being courteous. Whether you agreed or not, if you didn't reply in five seconds, I was coming in anyway."
Swatting away Tsunade's wandering hands, Qi Luna sat down at the table, his tone nonchalant.
"So, what brings you here?"
"Can't I come visit you if there's nothing wrong?"
"Of course you can, but I know your nature better than anyone—you never visit unless you want something."
Tsunade leaned against the table, chuckling as she teased him.
"You guessed wrong this time. Today, your little brother is here to do some charity work!"
Qi Luna spread his hands, doing his best to look innocent.
"Care to explain?"
Tsunade braced one hand on the table and the other on the back of Qi Luna's chair, leaning in until half her body was practically hovering over him.
Faced with Tsunade's brazen behavior, Qi Luna had to lean back tactically to maintain a safe distance.
"Fine, fine, you win. It's your lucky day!"
With that, Qi Luna pulled a scroll from his robes, summoned a notebook from that scroll, and finally summoned another scroll from a specific page in the notebook before tossing it to Tsunade.
Catching the scroll firmly, Tsunade couldn't help but twitch her lip, finding Qi Luna's excessive caution incomprehensible.
The sealing formulas on the outer scroll were different from those in the notebook, and the ninjutsu scroll itself had an additional layer of a special seal that only the five of them in their family knew. She was so speechless she almost laughed.
"I'd better see what kind of ninjutsu is worth all this trouble!"
Tsunade unrolled the scroll, her eyes widening instantly. It contained the latest Uzumaki Style Taijutsu developed by Qi Luna, which could greatly enhance mobility and explosive power—perfect for a taijutsu-specialist ninja like her.
"Where did you get this?" Tsunade asked in surprise.
Qi Luna gave a smug smile.
"Where else? It's a masterpiece I poured my heart and soul into developing, of course!"
"I developed this specifically for the Uzumaki Clan. I'm only giving it to you because we're close—you're getting a steal!"
Tsunade nodded, deeply touched. As expected of her little brother, he was reliable when it counted. Whenever he had new ninjutsu, he really did share them.
However, as she read through the subsequent forms, her brow furrowed. By the time she reached the final form, she let out a laugh that was half-amused, half-exasperated.
"Hmm, if I master this ninjutsu, my frontal combat capability will definitely increase by a huge margin! But I doubt you're being this kind out of the goodness of your heart, right?"
As she spoke, she poked her index finger at the entry for the "New Uzumaki Style: Eight Forms."
Looking at the lines of text on the scroll—which were less of a training guide and more of a conceptual framework for the taijutsu—Tsunade felt speechless once more.
"I was wondering why you were being so generous. So this is your game? Treating your sister like a lab rat?"
"Aside from the first two forms being basic, the following five actually require mastery of all five chakra nature transformations. As for the final form, unless one is born with immense strength, only someone who has mastered the Strength of a Hundred or the Lightning Release Chakra Mode could possibly succeed, right?"
As she spoke, she pressed her large hand down on his red hair again.
Once again swatting away the "black hand," Qi Luna shrugged with an indifferent attitude.
"Think what you want. Are you going to learn it or not? And once you do, will you help me refine it?"
"Fine, I'll learn it. Once I do, I'll help you refine the training method for the eighth form."
Tsunade put the scroll away and said earnestly.
Qi Luna waved his hand.
"That's settled then. I'm off."
"Oh, by the way, this technique is quite complex. You're bound to run into difficulties while learning it. If you had someone to train with, someone to compare notes with, I'm sure your efficiency would improve even more. But... where~ could~ one find someone who knows the Strength of a Hundred?"
With that, Qi Luna stood up and pretended to leave the tent.
Watching his comical performance, Tsunade felt both annoyed and amused.
Her little brother was just like that; he rarely asked for what he wanted directly, but he made sure you knew he wanted it. In the end, not only would you give it to him willingly, but you might even end up thanking him for it!
"Get lost, get lost! You are such a pain!"
Despite her words, she reached into her ninja tool pouch, pulled out a scroll, and tossed it at Qi Luna.
Seeing the scroll fly toward him, Qi Luna caught it, sealed it into the notebook in an instant, and then sealed the notebook back into the original scroll. Only then did he turn around, satisfied, and head toward the tent exit.
"Wait, are you actually leaving?"
Tsunade felt a bit puzzled. Was this reasonable?
"Otherwise what?"
Qi Luna was also puzzled. Wasn't this reasonable?
"I've already arrived here; are you still going to squeeze into that four-person tent?"
In her impression, Qi Luna was not the type to be inflexible or someone who would endure unnecessary hardship.
"How could that be! Of course I'm going to borrow Jiraiya's bed! Anyway, he's been sensing natural energy lately to prepare for his future sage art training and doesn't need the bed, so I'll reluctantly help him utilize his idle resources~"
Tsunade felt that the number of times she had been rendered speechless tonight exceeded the total number of times she had felt that way during her long stay on the Sunagakure battlefield.
"I shouldn't have even asked you!"
Tsunade muttered under her breath.
Afterward, watching Qi Luna leave with a giggle until she stepped out of the tent and her figure was completely swallowed by the night outside, a faint, imperceptible curve finally tugged at the corner of Tsunade's mouth.
Just then, from outside the dark tent, an annoying voice drifted in once more:
"Haha, love you, sis, see you tomorrow."
Tsunade's composure shattered instantly as she "angrily" cursed:
"Kusogaki, you really aren't cute at all!"
