The Great Elder handed the revenge plan directly to her.
Uchiha Rei took the document with an air of indifference; in her view, someone who couldn't even cultivate chakra had no business writing a plan.
After all, those who could not become ninja would never understand the power of a ninja. A so-called revenge plan was nothing more than a delusional fantasy.
She assumed these men were simply trying to save face for the new clan head. It was obvious to her that the clan head was merely trying to install his own confidant now that he had just ascended to the position.
In the past, she might have been willing to play along, but clan rules were not to be broken—especially not here, in the solemn hall of the clan council.
However, as Uchiha Rei read further, she discovered something terrifying: the details in this plan were refined to the absolute extreme.
Anyone who didn't know better would have thought this was an after-action report written by someone who had already carried it out.
"This..."
Uchiha Rei looked at the others, her face full of astonishment.
"Let me see."
The other two elders, unable to contain their impatience, wanted to see exactly what had caused her to lose her composure.
Uchiha Rei, letting the two elders snatch the plan from her hands, looked at Uchiha Yang as if he were a massive treasure.
Soon, the revenge plan had circulated throughout the entire meeting hall.
Every eye in the room was fixed on Uchiha Yang, making him feel quite uncomfortable.
Uchiha Madara, however, was very satisfied. It was exactly as he had expected; he wanted Uchiha Yang to make his presence felt before these people.
After so many years of enduring cold shoulders and biting remarks for being unable to become a ninja, now that the time had come to hold his head high, he naturally needed everyone to know it.
"Do you have any questions? If not, I'll be heading back."
Uchiha Yang felt very uneasy under their gazes, like an animal on display at a zoo.
"Ahem." Uchiha Rei asked, feigning composure: "Did you really write this revenge plan yourself?"
"Naturally, I wrote it myself. Or do you think there is anyone else in the entire clan capable of producing such a plan?"
Uchiha Yang saw no reason to deny it.
[Brain: ~(>_<)~ So moved, so many people recognized my plan.]
"It's a real pity you couldn't become a ninja."
The Great Elder shook his head silently.
Uchiha Yang's mouth twitched. As expected of people from the same clan; they all said the exact same thing.
Just because he couldn't be a ninja didn't mean he couldn't live.
"So, does he have the qualifications to stay here now, Elders?"
Seeing that Uchiha Yang's plan had been recognized by the clan's top brass, Uchiha Madara was even happier than when he had become clan head.
"He qualifies. If he truly wrote this, then he is indeed qualified to sit here."
The Uchiha Great Elder looked at Uchiha Yang with a hint of recognition in his eyes.
Uchiha Rei said nothing, but everyone present knew she had tacitly agreed with the Great Elder.
Since even someone as stubborn as Uchiha Rei had acknowledged him, the others had even less reason to object.
Uchiha Madara sat back down, satisfied, and the meeting officially began.
"Now, I will state the main content of this meeting."
Uchiha Madara spoke first, and everyone present listened with serious expressions.
"During the last attack on our clan grounds, although the Senju Clan were the masterminds, it was the Uzumaki Clan who actually carried out the assault."
At the mention of the Uzumaki Clan, everyone's eyes glowed red, their three-tomoe Sharingan filled with angry hatred.
Many of them had lost friends and family in that attack.
"We must let every enemy who opposes the Uchiha know that the price of offending our clan is one that not everyone can afford to pay."
"This revenge plan was born from that necessity, and thanks to Uchiha Yang, we will avoid paying a price we could not have borne for that attack."
Uchiha Madara held up the revenge plan and said to the crowd: "We will make the Uzumaki Clan suffer a hundred times the pain we endured."
"This revenge operation will be led personally by my brother, Uchiha Izuna, with a team of ten elite jonin."
Uchiha Madara had wanted to go himself, but the clan needed him to hold the fort in case of any emergencies.
Uchiha Izuna stood up immediately and looked at everyone present.
"There are only ten spots. First come, first served."
The next second, everyone stood up, almost at the exact same time.
But Uchiha Izuna's three-tomoe Sharingan saw it clearly; he picked the ten who had stood up first based on the split-second difference.
Those who were not chosen sat back down, dejected.
Everyone wanted to participate in this revenge mission for one simple reason: they wanted to crush the insolent Uzumaki Clan.
"Remember, you must follow the plan exactly as written. Do not take any unnecessary actions."
Uchiha Madara handed the revenge plan to his younger brother, Izuna, while offering a word of uneasy caution.
"Rest assured, Brother. I trust Cousin's plan, and I will naturally execute it to the letter."
Seeing that there was nothing for him to do, Uchiha Yang felt the money he had received burning a hole in his pocket. He snatched the plan back, flipped to the more rigorous details, and began to explain.
"Izuna, the most important thing for any clan is survival, so you must burn every single one of the Uzumaki Clan's granaries to the ground."
"Killing people doesn't solve the problem; even if you kill one of their geniuses, they can always produce another. But the granaries are different."
"The existence of those granaries ensures the continued survival of the entire Uzumaki Clan. Once they are burned, the Uzumaki will fall into a food crisis in the short term."
"In this chaotic era, food isn't something you can just buy at will, especially right now—even with money, it's hard to come by."
"But what if the Senju Clan supports them? Wouldn't our efforts be in vain?"
Uchiha Izuna raised a sharp question.
"The Senju Clan could provide aid, but don't forget an important figure I mentioned in the plan."
"That is the princess of the Uzumaki Clan, Uzumaki Mito, who is also the daughter of the Uzumaki patriarch."
"This woman has a marriage contract with Senju Hashirama. Sooner or later, she will marry him to maintain the favorable alliance between the Senju and Uzumaki clans."
"It's killing two birds with one stone: forcibly abduct Uzumaki Mito, then force the Senju Clan to use half of their entire clan's food supply to ensure her safety."
"If the Senju Clan ignores Uzumaki Mito, the relationship between the Uzumaki and the Senju will shatter. If they do save her, the Senju will be unable to provide food to the Uzumaki. This is an open, undeniable scheme."
"Given Senju Hashirama's temperament, he will surely choose to aid the Uzumaki Clan. However, if you, Uchiha Madara, write him a letter, I believe he will give the food to us for the sake of peace. But don't forget Senju Hashirama's brother, Senju Tobirama; that guy is someone who won't move a finger unless there's profit in it."
"And while the Uzumaki Clan is suffering through their food crisis, we will strike them again. We will surely be able to deal a heavy blow to the Uzumaki Clan with minimal cost, as they will never expect us to return a second time."
"By then, the Senju Clan will have severed their own arm by losing the help of the Uzumaki, and the Uzumaki Clan will have no hope of recovery for the next twenty years."
"In that time, our Uchiha Clan will recuperate. With the large amount of food we obtain, we can encourage childbirth, with the clan covering the costs of raising the children."
"At that point, I'll implement a family planning program."
"Five years—we only need one five-year plan, and our Uchiha Clan will surely be able to start the next great war in our prime."
Carried away by his own momentum, Uchiha Yang flashed a sunny smile.
After listening, Uchiha Izuna felt a chill run down his spine. It was fortunate that his cousin was not an enemy; otherwise, such intellect would be truly terrifying.
