Background

Luo Hou was once a Chaos God-Devil, but the transition between eras diminished him from that primordial status. He nevertheless remained one of the openly recognized great powers of the Primordial World and was identified with the Demonic Path's ambition to destroy the world and restore primordial chaos. 84 124 135

During the Eastern Wasteland conflict, Luo Hou acted through the Dark Envoy. The envoy wielded Luo Hou Demon Flame, annihilated the Shadow Emperor for disrespect, and began forcibly subduing local clans in his master's name. 64

Luo Hou personally emerged when Xuanji threatened the Dark Envoy. He manifested through the Twelfth-Grade Black Lotus, projected an enormous Dharma image, and drew Xuanji into the Abyssal Demon World. 70

Appearance

Luo Hou is first presented through a hovering pitch-black lotus and a towering, indistinct Dharma image formed from black qi. In humanoid form, he wears an ink-black Daoist robe and carries a gloomy, evil-tinged presence. 70 123

Eastern Wasteland defeat

Luo Hou intervened to protect the Dark Envoy and imprisoned Xuanji in the Abyssal Demon World. Xuanji survived the demon flames, countered the Light of Annihilation, devoured the Abyssal Demon World, absorbed Luo Hou's origin power, and forced him to flee with the damaged Ninth-Grade Black Lotus. 70 72

Rivalry with Hongjun

As the Demonic Path's leading figure, Luo Hou contested Hongjun for control of the Primordial World's future. Alliance with Xuanji

After another defeat by Hongjun, Luo Hou retreated to the Southern Wasteland to heal. Xuanji approached him with an offer: the Immortal-Trapping, Immortal-Ending, and Immortal-Slaughtering Swords plus the Four-Phase Formation Map in exchange for the Three Corpses method and an alliance. Xuanji uncovered the scheme and invaded the Demon Realm. Luo Hou rejected surrender, but Xuanji's Heavenly Dao projection crushed him, causing his body to become a demonic pearl. Xuanji seized the pearl, the Godslaying Spear, the Ninth-Grade Black Lotus, and the four Creation fragments as the Demon Realm collapsed. 164
