The Target Tom
The twins had a simple thought: so what if they lost? They'd lost so many times before anyway.
Tom didn't steal the trophy through any underhanded means; he won it by publishing articles in the Extraordinary Potioneers Association, through his own abilities. Why should anyone dislike him?
Unfortunately, there aren't many people as insightful as Tom; most Gryffindor now dislike him the most.
Tom thought for a moment and politely declined, saying, "If it's Diagon Alley during the summer vacation, we can get together. I can take you to Muggle society to try some new things."
"Let's forget about going to your house. If I remember correctly, it's in Devon, right?"
"You can go through the fireplace with Floo Powder," Fred continued to urge.
Their overly enthusiastic behavior made Tom wary. "What on earth are you up to?"
The twins exchanged a glance, gave a forced laugh, and shook their heads, feeling utterly guilty.
Actually, they just wanted to take advantage of their home field to play a few pranks on Tom, so they wouldn't keep getting thwarted by this guy.
Their overly enthusiastic behavior aroused Tom's suspicion.
Tom, seeing the twins' behavior, became even more certain of his guess and decisively slipped away, taking Daphne and Hermione to a private compartment in the car.
As soon as they sat down, the two little witches began arguing over Tom's vacation time, and the atmosphere instantly became tense.
"I'm not sure how long I'll be in Britain, but I certainly won't leave until Mr. Scamander replies. I reckon Newt Scamander letter should arrive by the end of this month."
"Then come to my house first," Daphne quickly interjected. "Astoria has wanted to thank you in person for a long time; every time she writes, she tells me to invite you over."
"No way," Hermione immediately retorted. "If Tom goes to your house, do you think you can let him out? I'll probably see him again when school starts."
Daphne pouted, wanting to retort, but Hermione's words revealed her true feelings.
Her plan was to first trick him into having her, and then when it was time to leave, she would act cute and spoiled, taking Astoria with her if one person wasn't enough.
Tom, being such a gentle person, would definitely not be able to be heartless when faced with his delicate and frail younger sister's pleading.
This way, they can stay until before going to the United States.
That wretched Granger! Did he actually see through her scheme that she'd been planning for half a month? No wonder he's her nemesis.
"Speechless now?" Seeing Daphne's speechless expression, Hermione was glad she had guessed this and turned to look at Tom.
She spoke softly and tentatively, "Let's stay in London for a month first. We can do our homework together and go shopping."
"Even if you become a wizard, you can't ignore the changes in the Muggle world. At least in terms of fashion sense, I think Muggle clothes are much better than wizard clothes."
Tom looked at the two people in front of him and suddenly had a strange feeling. Hermione and Daphne were there to bid.
And the prize that was stolen belonged to him.
Tom had already made his plans perfectly clear in his mind. Phoebe had even invited him to France, where there was also a soft, fragrant Gabrielle.
But he was a coward; he didn't dare utter a single word and could only cower to the side, watching helplessly as the two little witches divided up his summer vacation.
"Um... I have something to say," Tom interjected weakly, his tone pleading.
"I can't just spend all my time with you; I also need to research new magic." He couldn't figure out the flight spell, and the fourth trial was a dead end.
This is his biggest headache lately; if it drags on any longer, he might not even be able to finish it during summer vacation.
But the two little witches completely ignored him and continued chattering and bargaining, as if they wanted to tear every single second of Tom in half.
After much fuss, the two finally reached a "peace agreement": Tom would stay in London until July, but Daphne could visit him anytime;
After July, Tom visited the Greengrass Family and stayed until he left for New York.
If he comes back early, he can't go to Daphne's house anymore and has to stay in London so the two of them can "compete fairly".
After robbing Tom, the two little witches instantly transformed back into best friends, holding hands and chattering excitedly about clothes and bags in the Muggle world, their eyes shining like stars.
Just then, a system notification sounded: [The academic year settlement is complete. Please review your annual summary and claim your rewards.]
Tom had a sudden thought and immediately opened the system interface.
[Congratulations, host, on successfully completing your first year after choosing your major! Throughout the year, thanks to your excellent character, diligent efforts, and outstanding academic performance, you have won the affection and support of professors and classmates.]
Tom stared at the screen, his lips twitching for a long time; the wording sounded like an awards ceremony.
Although every word was the truth, the system's blunt and shameless praise still made him, the person involved, a little embarrassed.
In my heart, I silently murmured against my will: I am ashamed to accept this, I am ashamed to accept this!
[The first stage of the continuous quest "The Hogwarts' Best Student in History" is complete. Completion rating: Excellent. Rewards: 300 Achievement Points, 1500 Academic Credits, and 1 chance to win a prize. This is the host's first time receiving a prize reward; this prize draw level has been increased by one level.]
Tom was already used to the system's operation; the first reward he received would almost always result in an upgrade.
That's how the last Twelve Trials came about; otherwise, with Andros's rank, he wouldn't have been able to obtain such an abnormal talent.
The lottery has different levels? Before he could think further, the system provided an explanation: the lottery is divided into beginner, intermediate, advanced, and legendary levels.
The reward for this stage was originally a high-level lottery draw, but it has now been upgraded to legendary.
Tom's eyes lit up, and he quickly looked at the other task. Snape's request was also completed, and the reward was also a high-level lottery chance.
Thanks to Albus Dumbledore deliberately promoting Harry this year, which inadvertently increased the difficulty of the mission, otherwise this mission would have been nothing more than a mid-level lottery. He's made a killing!
[Host: Tom Riddle
Identity: Hogwarts (prospective) second-year student

Achievement Points: 581
Rewards to be used: 1 Legendary draw chance, 1 High-tier draw chance
Once the two tasks were settled, Tom instantly became "rich" and earned nearly four thousand credits, enough for him to squander for a while. He used the achievement points to pay off his debts and still had more than half left.
He was itching to have sex right then and there, but then he thought that a legendary lottery would probably cause quite a stir, and if he caused any trouble on the train, he would be in big trouble.
I could only suppress my curiosity and continue chatting with Daphne and Hermione about their summer plans.
Without the pressure of homework and trials, the atmosphere was exceptionally relaxed, and even the train seemed to speed up.
The group chatted and laughed, and before they knew it, the Hogwarts Express pulled into London and came to a smooth stop at Platform 9 3/4.
