Inside the Bastille, there is no sunlight all year round.

A young wizard dressed in a prison guard's uniform is walking through layers of checks to the deepest part of the prison.

He was going to deliver dinner to the prisoners there.

This man was Vogel. After dealing with the traitor from the Étienne Family, he didn't dare to show himself immediately and remained silent for several days.

Fearing that the French Ministry of Magic might find fault with him, he didn't sit idle. Following Tom's orders, he launched a "major purge" within his own faction.

All his subordinates were thoroughly investigated using Veritaserum and Legilimency, and sure enough, several messes were uncovered.

These people didn't align themselves with the Ministry of Magic like Étienne, but they had long abandoned the ideals of Acolyte, remaining in the camp only to reap benefits.

Vogel showed no mercy to these parasites and dealt with them ruthlessly.

Gellert Grindelwald's information about his disciples could only be shared with trusted individuals; keeping it to these people would inevitably lead to leaks sooner or later.

After eliminating the hidden dangers, Vogel found an opportunity to use Polyjuice Potion to become a guard and infiltrate the Bastille.

He wanted to retrieve the replica Elder Wand for Tom.

The upper Bastille are all bare stone walls, with an oil lamp every few steps.

The cells were as rudimentary as livestock pens, and the prisoners were locked in iron cages, where even turning over was difficult.

But once you get to the bottom floor, the scene changes instantly: the walls are painted snow-white, and the corridor is wide enough for four people to walk side by side.

The space, spanning several thousand square meters, was divided into only four cells, each equipped with its own bathroom and small living room.

Only two people lived inside: one was a mad Potions who had killed fifty Muggle and used their blood to make potions.

The Ministry of Magic kept him around only because he was France's top Potions, and many tricky Potions relied on him.

Another one is Vinda Rosier. Those who can live here either have powerful connections or are of use to others.

The Vinda are clearly the former; large families are best at betting on both sides, just like the Rosier family and Lestrange family.

Originating in France, its bloodline now extends throughout Europe; the so-called Sacred Twenty-Eight in Britain are merely a branch of it.

Back then, Vinda was the second-in-command of the Acolyte, but there were also members of the Rosier family who held high positions in the Ministry of Magic.

In addition, due to the conditions Gellert Grindelwald made after his defeat, although she has been under house arrest for years, her life has not been bad, except that she cannot step out of the Bastille.

But the person she loved was imprisoned in Nurmengard, and her heart had long since died; it was all the same to her wherever she was.

Vogel used the key he had obtained beforehand to open the cell door and went inside. This was no prison cell; it was clearly a luxury suite.

The space, spanning over 200 square meters, is furnished with a full range of expensive solid wood furniture, exuding the elegance and sophistication of its former owner.

"Vinda?" Vogel called out tentatively.

The door at the end of the corridor was pushed open, and an elderly woman with a full head of silver hair walked out.

Even though her face is covered with wrinkles, one can still see the unparalleled beauty and extraordinary temperament she possessed in her youth.

The arrogance of the "French Black Rose" still lingers in her eyes.

"Who are you?" The old woman asked calmly, her tone completely unwavering.

The guards who delivered her meals never dared to call her by her name.

"It's me, Vogel." Vogel waved his wand, dispelling the effects of the Polyjuice Potion and revealing his true form.

Upon seeing that it was an old acquaintance, Vinda's expression remained unchanged, and he said calmly.

"Vogel? That's a rare guest. Whatever your purpose in coming here, I'm afraid you'll be disappointed. I have no desire to concern myself with anything else from the outside world."

"If it's an old friend catching up, I'd welcome it." Her tone was full of indifference to the world, as if she had already seen through everything.

"You really don't want to go out?" Vogel smiled, his tone carrying a hint of mystery.

Strictly speaking, he was a generation younger than Vinda; his father was Vinda's equal.

However, the two are not much different in age, and they usually talk to each other as equals.

The old lady chuckled softly, slowly walked into the living room, and sat down in a wicker chair, gently rocking back and forth.

The teacup on the table floated up automatically, filled with warm tea, and landed steadily in her hand.

"If I wanted to leave, I would have done so thirty years ago. Why wait until now?"

"Is that so?" Vogel nodded dismissively, deliberately keeping everyone in suspense. "Then I'll have to reluctantly agree to your request."

"Give me the wand that Lord Gellert Grindelwald left with you; Master Riddle needs it to unite the Acolyte."

"Anyway, you won't need it. It's only right for the master's disciple to possess this wand."

Once Tom's identity was confirmed, Vogel changed his address, calling him "Young Master" at every turn, clearly acknowledging Tom as the leader.

Upon hearing this, Vinda sat up abruptly, completely unaware that the tea in his hand had spilled onto her clothes.

His eyes were fixed on Vogel, his voice filled with disbelief and urgency. "What did you just say? Your student?"

"Vogel, you're kidding me! Where did the adults recruit students? In Nurmengard?"

Vogel was secretly delighted, but he put on a calm and composed expression, even picking his ear.

"Didn't you just say you didn't care about what's going on outside? For your own peace and quiet, Vinda, please don't ask any more questions."

Without another word, the old lady raised her hand and waved it, and an ancient magic wand flew out from the depths of the room, landing steadily in her hand.

Her eyes narrowed, and her tone turned icy. "My patience is limited, Vogel. Don't make me ask a second time."

Vogel immediately backed down; the more he thought about it, the more outrageous it seemed.

Although this place provides food and lodging, it is ultimately a prison for holding criminals!

Providing them with good food and drink is one thing, but to return the magic wand to a prisoner?

Vinda Rosier was able to secure his position as the second-in-command at Acolyte not because of seniority, but because of his genuine fighting ability!

Vogel has only ever met two truly formidable women in his life, one of whom is the French Black Rose standing before him.

The other one is Tina Goldstein Goldstein, oh, now she should be called Tina Goldstein Scamander.

Under the threat of the wand, Vogel dared not hide anything any longer.

He honestly recounted Tom's background, abilities, and the fact that he was protected by Fiendfyre, in detail.

Vinda Rosier listened, his body trembled slightly, his eyes reddened, and his voice trembled with a barely perceptible sob.

"Your disciple, that's right. No one but your master could master that level of Fiendfyre Body Protection."

"And the fact that he only wanted the wand and didn't ask how to use it means that the adults had already told him everything."

She abruptly looked up, staring intently at Vogel: "Young Master Riddle, can you communicate directly with the adults?"

"That's what he said himself," Vogel nodded, answering honestly. "I don't know the exact effects of that magic, but it's definitely real."
