Challenging Megatron
Tom frowned, looking displeased. "What Optimus Prime? Can't you even see right through this? This is Megatron, Optimus Prime's nemesis! Don't you know what a villain is?"
Hermione's head was filled with question marks, and she thought to herself, "They're all made of sheet metal, they all look pretty much the same, who can tell them apart!"
"Megatron? It really is Megatron!"
Hermione was speechless when an excited shout rang out.
The group turned around and saw Justin Finch-Fletchley of Hufflepuff running towards them. He was Muggle-born and knew this thing all too well.
Finch-Fletchley ran up to the Tin Giant, circled it several times, reached out and touched its cold metal shell, his eyes shining brightly.
"It's so realistic! It's a hundred times better quality than the ones sold in Muggle toy stores! Riddle, I just saw it Transfiguration, did you really make this?"
"Of course!" Tom finally found someone knowledgeable and patted Megatron's thigh with satisfaction.
"It took me half a month to figure out this Transfiguration technique; I almost gave up."
More and more young wizards gathered around, the Muggle-born ones all shouting with excitement.
The Pure-blood wizards were initially confused until Tom demonstrated the Transfiguration again.
As they watched the plane transform into a metal Giant in an instant, they erupted in excitement, chattering incessantly.
"Riddle, what else can Megatron do besides Transfiguration?"
A Ravenclaw student leaned closer, staring at the markings on the Tin Giant's body. "I just saw a lot of magic runes on it!"
"Transfiguration are for fighting, of course!" Tom pointed his wand, and two golden beams instantly shot into the eye sockets of the Megatron Cave.
The young wizards around him were so frightened that they backed away. Tom cleared his throat and said loudly.
"Those who want to watch the show, stand back! Don't interfere with our training, or you'll get caught in the crossfire!"
The young wizards immediately and obediently stepped back, making room for them.
Tom pulled Astoria back to the safe zone, leaving Hermione and Daphne standing there, looking bewildered.
"Hermione, Daphne, attack it with a spell, and you'll be able to activate Megatron!" Tom shouted.
"This is the lowest level of security; it will retaliate."
"But as soon as you put down your wands, it will assume you've surrendered and stop immediately. Don't worry, it won't hurt anyone!"
"Got it!" the two replied in unison. Hermione raised her wand first and fired a Flipendo, which struck Megatron squarely in the chest.
The moment the spell touched the metal, Megatron immediately raised his hands to block the beam, then took heavy steps and charged straight at the two.
"Split up!" Hermione reacted quickly, immediately sprinting to the left, while Daphne also reacted and ran to the right.
The young wizards watching craned their necks, curious to see who Megatron would chase. The tin Giant, without hesitation, pursued Hermione was casting the spell.
At the same time, he freed one hand and threw a Flipendo at Daphne, exactly the same one Hermione had just used.
Fortunately, Daphne had been trained by Tom for a year, and wearing the Iron Armor Charm had become second nature to her.
The spell struck the protective shield, only creating a ripple; its power was not significant.
"It can even use spells?" Hermione exclaimed as she ran, having seen many puppets in the Room of Requirement.
Some stood still as targets, while others brandished swords and retaliated, but I've never seen a puppet that could use magic spells!
"Disarming Charm!" Hermione tentatively cast a Disarming Charm, wanting to see if Megatron had a wand hidden inside his body.
The tin man turned out to be more agile than she had imagined. He dodged the spell with a slight tilt of his body and continued moving closer and closer to her without stopping.
"Daphne, stop watching!" Hermione threw several more spells in quick succession, but they were either dodged or Megatron blocked with his body.
Hermione's chanting slowed her down, and the distance between them grew smaller and smaller.
Out of the corner of her eye, Hermione saw Daphne standing there, watching with great interest. Hermione was about to cry. "Young lady, get this straight, you're a target too!"
"Huh? Oh!" Daphne suddenly realized what was happening and quickly cast Impediment Jinx, erecting a stone wall in front of Megatron, which barely managed to slow its pace.
The two worked together, with Hermione drawing Megatron's attention while Daphne focused on casting spells, only needing to deal with Megatron's occasional counterattacks.
Gradually, the two figured out the pattern: Megatron's spells had time intervals between attacks, and he wouldn't attack continuously.
What frustrated them most was that the tin man's defenses were so ridiculously strong that they couldn't be broken through at all.
Hermione even tried to use Transfiguration Spell on its armor, but it was protected by a Transfiguration- resistant spell, so it was completely useless.
More and more students gathered around, and even Hagrid, who was originally catching carnivorous slugs in the vegetable garden, thought that a young wizard was going to sneak into the Forbidden Forest, and hurriedly ran over with a bucket of worms.
With his tall stature, he could be clearly seen even from the outermost edge, and once you saw him, you couldn't tear your eyes away.
The slugs in the bucket took the opportunity to crawl out and sneak back into the vegetable garden to continue wreaking havoc on the vegetables, all without him noticing.
"Tom, are you trying to wear us out?" Daphne called out as she turned around.
The initial excitement had vanished from his face, replaced only by boredom.
"Then let's upgrade and have some fun." Tom grinned mischievously, tapped his wand, and a beam of light struck Megatron.
The tin Giant paused for a second, and the golden light in its eye sockets instantly turned into a cold blue light.
Hermione and Daphne felt a chill run down their spines, a bad feeling creeping over them.
The next second, Megatron raised both arms simultaneously, charged up for a moment, and then fired two spells at the same time, "Crack! Crack!"
The Iron Armor Charm on the two women shattered instantly. Previously, it would have taken Megatron at least three or four spells to break through their protective shields, but now the power had doubled!
Tom's laughter drifted over. "The safe mode just now only attacked by absorbing your dissipated magic, consuming the least amount of energy."
"This is the normal mode now. It's going to use its magic, so be careful and don't cry!"
"That's so cool! It's exactly like Megatron from the movie!" Justin Finch-Fletchley shouted excitedly.
Other Muggle-born wizards nodded in agreement, noting that these past few years had been a time of great rise for science fiction films.
Their futuristic designs and attack methods made them forget they were in a magical world.
"Riddle, besides these two modes, does Megatron have any other states?" the Ravenclaw student who had asked the question earlier shouted again, his eyes full of curiosity.
Tom raised an eyebrow and smiled, "Of course, there are also Strong Enemy Mode and Bloodbath Mode. The power decreases significantly with each level up."
He said it was a labor of love, and that's no exaggeration.
"IChat" is desperately cutting costs, while Megatron is piling on materials and technology to the extreme.
Like Hogwarts Castle and Nicolas Flamel's manor, it can absorb the magic unconsciously dissipated by young wizards, and has the same magic storage core as the Philosopher's Stone.
