Taking Turns to Duel
Megatron's entire body was covered in defensive and offensive runes made of mithril and cursed black steel.
More than 90% of the parts are made of metal forging that can self-repair.
When Nicolas Flamel first saw the list of materials, he was stunned for a long time, suspecting that Tom was sent by Albus Dumbledore to fleece him and take advantage of his ill-gotten gains.
If they made a few hundred of these according to this standard, even if Nicolas Flamel were incredibly wealthy, she would go bankrupt.
It was the Transfiguration design that caught his eye; the rest were all fairly standard, but the technical execution was extremely high, demonstrating Tom's solid foundation.
On the field, Hermione and Daphne were almost at their limit.
Megatron in his normal mode has increased speed significantly and has started using various powerful spells.
The previous Flipendo and Stunning Spell spells have been upgraded to Blasting Curse, Fire-Making Spell, and armor-shattering spells.
Hermione had just created a protective shield with magic when it was shattered by the Shattering Armor Curse, and the flames almost burned her hair.
Startled, she immediately put down her wand, and Megatron indeed stopped, turning to deal with Daphne.
Daphne's Transfiguration was even better than Hermione's, and she had more magic power; she used the Shaping Charm to build a thick wall of earth.
But Megatron's curse struck it, instantly blasting a huge crater. She had just finished repairing it when Megatron charged over.
He swung his iron fist and smashed it repeatedly, tearing the earthen wall to shreds in no time.
Daphne froze for two seconds, then yelled "Wow!" and threw down her wand, shouting angrily.
"I'm not playing anymore! Tom, you're cheating! What kind of wizard fights with their fists? You're bullying me!"
Seeing her sister's pitiful look, Astoria burst out laughing, and the young wizards watching joined in the laughter.
"You can't blame me for this," Tom shrugged innocently, but secretly he was shifting the blame.
"Blame my teacher Andros; he taught me that fists are the most direct form of power."
Andros: I didn't teach you that!
"Hmph!" Daphne stormed over to Tom and started punching him with her little fists, but she didn't really have any strength; it was more like she was being affectionate.
"Riddle, can I try? I want to fight Megatron too!" Megatron, having no opponent, obediently stood still.
Justin Finch-Fletchley leaned closer, his face full of anticipation, and a large group of young wizards were just as eager to try.
"I want to try it too! I think using the Transfiguration Spell is the most suitable solution!"
"A corrosion spell will work too; it can make it rust!"
"I'll bind it up with Binding Charm!"
The young wizards chattered excitedly, each one eager to get started.
Tom thought for a moment and nodded in agreement, "Alright, five people in a group, that'll be perfect for testing Megatron's effectiveness."
"Finch-Fletchley, you pick a few people, the rest line up, no cutting in line!"
"Alright!" Finch-Fletchley excitedly pumped his fist, and was immediately surrounded by a group of students who volunteered.
He quickly picked two Hufflepuff and two Ravenclaw, and excitedly walked up to Megatron, ready to begin the challenge.
High up in the tower, Albus Dumbledore stood before the floor-to-ceiling window.
Looking at the lively scene on the open ground, a gentle smile played on his lips, and his eyes were full of satisfaction.
Albus Dumbledore doted on his students, and loved seeing them all smiles and jumping around.
Even if he occasionally breaks school rules, he feels that these are experiences that young people should have.
With boundless energy and nowhere to channel it, making mistakes is understandable. His greatest strength lies in finding the shining points in his students.
Tom's alchemical golem truly amazed him.
Even he might not be able to create an alchemical puppet of this caliber, given that he hasn't touched alchemy for many years.
But what pleased him most was Tom's attitude towards the other students.
A group of junior wizards from different houses surrounded him, asking him all sorts of questions, but he showed no impatience whatsoever, patiently chatting and laughing with them.
Laughter erupted from time to time around him, and as Albus Dumbledore watched, he couldn't help but smile as well.
But this lively atmosphere didn't last long before it was ruined.
Just as the third group of students was about to go on stage to experience Megatron, Lockhart came over, clearly attracted by the commotion.
"Oh, an alchemical golem? Riddle, did you make this?" Lockhart asked, adopting the air of a professor, his tone full of self-praise.
"Not bad, not bad at all. It has a bit of my style. Back in the day, I was also obsessed with alchemy."
"The puppets I made were even more powerful than this, but later I realized that no matter how strong the puppets were, they couldn't compare to my personal efforts, so I gradually forgot about them."
He cleared his throat, looking as if he were bestowing a handout.
"Would you like me to give you some pointers? I'll tell you how to improve it, and I guarantee you'll take this puppet to the next level."
Lockhart's voice drowned out the students' cheers, and Tom felt annoyed, but kindly invited, "Professor Lockhart, since you're so enthusiastic, why don't you give it a try?"
As soon as he finished speaking, Tom waved his wand, and the blue light in Megatron's eyes instantly turned into a blinding red light.
Several cannon barrels suddenly emerged from behind, hissing as they gathered energy, and were aimed directly at Lockhart.
Lockhart's smile froze instantly, his face turned pale, and he stammered a refusal.
"No, that won't be necessary! I'm afraid I might lose control of my power and destroy this precious treasure you worked so hard to create."
"If you really want to learn, you can come to my office after class, and we can have a good chat for an afternoon."
The young wizards around him instantly looked at him with disdain.
Who hasn't taken Lockhart's class this week? The book extols his achievements, but in reality, students only know how to carry on his legacy.
Now that Tom has given him a chance to prove himself, he's backing down like a coward. Even a fool could see that this professor is a complete idiot.
Tom ignored him, and the mockery in his eyes pierced Lockhart like a knife, sending chills down his spine.
He waved his wand, Megatron snapped back into his fighter jet form with a few "clicks," before being put back into the Dragon Hide box.
"Someone spoiled the fun today, we'll let everyone know when the test is scheduled for another day."
Tom tossed out a sentence, then turned and left with Daphne, Astoria, and Hermione, without even glancing at Lockhart.
As soon as he left, the students who had been watching gradually dispersed, still grumbling about Lockhart.
If it weren't for his interference, I might have been the next one to go on stage.
In the afternoon, Tom, along with Hermione, Daphne, Hannah, and Susan, finished afternoon tea and leisurely knocked on Professor McGonagall's office door.
"Please come in." Professor McGonagall's slightly loud voice came from inside the door, carrying a hint of barely perceptible fatigue.
Tom pushed open the door and went in. Professor McGonagall looked up and saw it was him, her expression instantly becoming unnatural.
Having just been thoroughly humiliated by Slytherin in the morning, the instigator of this whole mess showed up at the door this afternoon. Anyone would feel awkward in that situation.
