Background / History

Sun Gohan was born to Sun Wukong and Chi-Chi shortly after their wedding. His father celebrates his birth with pride, while the family regards him as part of the next generation expected to grow strong enough to protect their world. 22

As a child, Gohan trains directly under Sun Wukong alongside Sun Bra and Mai. He shows unusual determination, works to stabilize his Kamehameha, and proves himself in a live-combat test by using Ape Force Impact. Sun Wukong praises his progress but advises him to manage his stamina more carefully. 24

Gohan later fulfills his father's expectations during Cell's attack. His dormant strength erupts into Super Saiyan 2, and he defeats Cell with an overwhelming final energy attack. 28
