Background / History

Bulma travels to Namek with Krillin and Son Gohan to seek the Dragon Balls, but is left isolated amid Frieza's battle with Son Goku. Ron senses her aura just before the Spirit Bomb's explosion and rescues her from being buried by falling debris. Although initially terrified by the destruction around her, she is immediately struck by Ron's appearance and the security provided by his strength 16 17.

She confronts Goku, Krillin, and Gohan for forgetting that she was still on Namek, then accepts their apologies after they acknowledge their failure to protect her 17. While Frieza threatens to destroy Namek, Bulma becomes overwhelmed with fear and asks whether Ron can win; later, her demand that he end the battle helps prompt Ron to stop holding back and transform into a Super Saiyan 20 24.

Bulma definitively ends her long-running relationship with Yamcha after explaining that he repeatedly broke promises, used her money and Capsule Corp's name while flirting with other women, and failed to consider her feelings.
