Background / History
Frieza was responsible for the destruction of Planet Vegeta, using his Planet Destroyer Bomb to reduce it to cosmic dust. He regards the Saiyans as “wild monkeys” and intends to eradicate any survivors. He later claims that the Saiyans' own history of planetary conquest leaves them unqualified to condemn him. 4 20
On Namek, Frieza seeks the Dragon Balls and massacres Namekians in pursuit of them. He considers power the only legitimate source of authority, rejects any notion of guilt, and sees the universe as his possession by birthright. 4
After surviving Son Goku's Spirit Bomb, Frieza attempts to murder Krillin with psychic power. Ron prevents the attack, revealing himself as a Saiyan and becoming Frieza's new opponent. 19 20
Frieza repeatedly tries to destroy Namek when confronted with Ron, first using a Planet Destroyer Bomb and later attempting a Planet Penetration Strike as cover for escape. Ron overwhelms him after transforming into a Super Saiyan. 20 22 24 28
Frieza escapes into space after severing his own arm, but Ron pursues him. When Frieza prepares another Planet Destroyer Bomb aimed at Namek, Ron annihilates both Frieza and the bomb with the Spiral Annihilation Cannon. Frieza's soul is subsequently judged by King Yemma and sent to Hell. 30 31
Appearance
Frieza is a compact, tailed alien whose appearance is closely shared by his father, King Cold, and brother, Cooler. His full-power state enlarges his physique. 26 66
- Long, powerful tail used for striking, restraining opponents, and tripping them. 5 7
- Can expand his body when releasing 100% of his power. 26
- Ron's Super Saiyan form recognizes him as the same “wild monkey” Frieza had encountered earlier. 25
Personality
Frieza is profoundly arrogant, theatrical, and sadistic. He calls himself the Emperor of the Universe, offers enemies positions beneath him even during battle, and treats the suffering of weaker beings as proof of his superiority. 4
He believes in absolute strength and the “law of the jungle,” viewing planets and lives as possessions to be taken or discarded. Being called a monster does not offend him; he takes it as praise. 4
Despite his confidence, Frieza becomes increasingly unstable when his authority is challenged. Ron's immunity to his attacks reduces him from mockery to fear, retreat, and desperate attempts to destroy Namek rather than confront defeat directly. 25 26 28
