However, Ye Yuexin struggled with this for a long time afterward, feeling that they shouldn't be acting alone.

After all, the things that had happened recently had dealt him a bit of a blow.

He felt that his foresight as a transmigrator wasn't actually all that useful.

He only knew the main plot of this world, but he still lacked experience when it came to the finer details.

Moreover, the main storyline hadn't fully unfolded yet.

Thus, Ye Yuexin and his group decided to turn back the way they came and rendezvous with Kakashi and the others.

After asking Might Guy and Ebisu and finding they had no objections, the three of them set off.

Since the two teams had been running in opposite directions, they met up very quickly.

"Obito, has your body gone soft? You're actually letting Kakashi carry you."

After meeting up, Ebisu saw Obito Uchiha on Kakashi's back and teased him with a smile.

At these words, Obito Uchiha immediately got off Kakashi's back. With a flushed face, he retorted, "Someone like you, who is always running low on chakra, has no right to talk to me."

"Obito only exhausted so much chakra because he was carrying me on the way here," Rin Nohara stepped in just in time to explain for Obito Uchiha.

After some playful banter, they began to discuss the mission.

Actually, now that they had reunited, things were much simpler.

After all, with all of them combined, taking down a defensive outpost should be quite easy.

They were all future elites, and even if they were young now, they each had specialties they could put to use.

Furthermore, taking Konoha as an example:

A great nation like the Land of Fire was simply too vast, yet their defenses couldn't be spread too thin.

Therefore, adjustments had been made regarding personnel.

A main base in a defensive sector held two Jonin.

The rest were mostly Chunin or Genin, numbering around ten in total.

This was because they had to be ready to handle emergencies at the outposts at any time.

An outpost, however, held at most five people. Moreover, the squad leaders were basically elite Chunin; only a very small number of outpost captains were Special Jonin.

So, after looking at the force they had on their side, Ye Yuexin felt that if they all attacked together, they could resolve it easily.

Although the battle plan wouldn't be that simple, Ye Yuexin had plenty of ideas now.

After all, in his previous life, he had read the required extracurricular book, Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

He was very familiar with the siege warfare and tactics described within it.

He could definitely draw some inspiration from that.

So, he was the first to stand up and say, "I have a plan. It could almost double our contribution."

"You aren't thinking of..." Hearing Ye Yuexin say this, everyone had a guess. Genma Shiranui whispered his speculation.

People of this age were all proud and arrogant, so it was easy for everyone to guess what Ye Yuexin was thinking.

Seeing so many people there, Ye Yuexin felt quite confident.

He continued, "We split into two groups. Let's say the Rock Ninja's main defensive base is here." As he spoke, Ye Yuexin drew a circle on the ground.

Then he went on, "We split our forces into two paths. We go to the outposts located on opposite sides of the Rock Ninja's main base simultaneously." Ye Yuexin then drew two small circles not far from the left and right sides of the large circle.

He said, "Then we both start attacking at the same time. The offensive must be fierce; we need to make the people at the outposts feel like they are facing an unstoppable force, but we can't actually destroy them, so we have to pretend that the strength of both sides is evenly matched."

"After a while, we stop the attack and pretend to be recovering our chakra. Then, after another interval, we attack again."

"We can discuss the timeline in detail later. During the second attack, we can be slightly more aggressive; it would be best to inflict some casualties. That way, when we pretend to cease fire and recover again, the enemy will definitely send people to report to the Rock Ninja's main defensive base and ask for reinforcements."

"That is the moment our two teams will quickly withdraw. Then, both teams will rendezvous at the Rock Ninja's main defensive base."

"When the personnel from the main base head out to support the two sides, that will be the moment the main base is at its most vulnerable. It will also be the time for us to strike."

"In one fell swoop, we take the Rock Ninja's main defensive base." Ye Yuexin's voice rose slightly at the end, and the atmosphere was instantly ignited.

"Yuexin, I feel like you're so cunning," Might Guy said, scratching his head after hearing the plan.

"Idiot, that's called being crafty. No, wait, it's strategy," Obito Uchiha retorted.

But even so, Ye Yuexin could clearly feel everyone's breathing quicken.

Even Kakashi clenched his fists unconsciously.

Just as Ye Yuexin felt it would pass with a unanimous vote:

"No!" A cold voice rang out.

It was Kakashi.

"Why wouldn't it work? Ye Yuexin's plan is so good. We'll definitely succeed." As soon as Kakashi said this, Obito Uchiha, who knew him best, was the first to speak up.

This sentence resonated with everyone's inner thoughts; except for Kakashi, everyone nodded and looked toward him.

Kakashi stared at Obito Uchiha with his dead-fish eyes, his expression serious as he snapped, "Setting aside whether this plan can succeed or not, have you forgotten what mission Minato-sensei gave us?"

"As a ninja, if you can't even strictly execute your mission, then how are you any different from trash?"

Hearing this, Ye Yuexin curled his lip.

It seemed Kakashi still hadn't gotten over that hurdle from his past.

Because of his father's influence, the current Kakashi had become nothing more than an obedient robot when it came to missions.

Faced with Kakashi's harsh words, no one said a word.

After all, Kakashi held the highest rank among them; he was the only elite chunin, while Genma Shiranui was a chunin, and the rest were still genin.

Seeing that no one spoke, Kakashi said, "Ye Yuexin's plan is good, but we need to make a few changes."

"We'll keep the first part of the plan as is, but turn the latter part from a feint into a real strike. We'll take down two sub-bases in the most aggressive manner possible."

"After that, the Rock Ninja will likely be on guard. For the sake of safety, we'll regroup at that point and launch a joint attack on the three bases to the right."

"If we destroy five bases in a row, the mission should be considered complete."

He then looked at the group and asked, "Does anyone object?"

After Kakashi had put it that way, how could anyone possibly object? If they were to oppose him now, the nature of the situation would be entirely different.

And so, there was no other choice; they would have to execute the mission according to Kakashi's plan.
