Story Role / Major Arcs

Border Reinforcement Mission

Guy joins Ye Yuexin, Ebisu, and Minato on an urgent mission toward the Land of Fire–Land of Earth border. His endurance allows him to remain in Minato’s advance group, though he eventually needs Ye Yuexin to carry him after prolonged travel. 26 27

After Minato departs, Guy, Ye Yuexin, and Ebisu deliver intelligence to the border defense base and volunteer to support its hidden sentries. 28 29

Rock Ninja Sub-Base Assault

Guy participates in the dawn ambush on a Rock Ninja forward base, using taijutsu to pressure enemy sentries while Ebisu and Ye Yuexin secure the kills. 31 He tests the enemy’s Earth Release barrier with Konoha Hurricane and Konoha Great Hurricane, narrowly avoiding its retaliatory earth spikes. 32

Following the breach, Guy defeats a Rock Ninja with an aerial taijutsu combination, but is badly injured when Taiyuan Zeng suddenly attacks the team. 32

Battle Against Taiyuan Zeng

Despite his injuries, Guy refuses to retreat and opens the first three Inner Gates after Taiyuan Zeng attacks Ebisu. 34 When his initial surge begins to fade, he offers to hold the enemy off so Ye Yuexin and Ebisu can escape, demonstrating his willingness to die for teammates he has known only briefly. 34

Guy later opens the Fourth Gate to save Ebisu and exploit Taiyuan Zeng’s weakness in close-range exchanges. 35 He forces out one final accelerated punch that breaks Zeng’s arm before collapsing from the strain. 35 36

Recovery and Subsequent Deployment

After the mission, Guy recovers from severe muscle strain rapidly through his physical conditioning. 45 He later prepares with Ebisu for another mission to the Land of Water. 49
