Donnie strode forward and grabbed John by the neck.
"Your sharpest weapons are your fangs, yet you insist on playing with guns."
Donnie acted decisively, intercepting and subduing John before the vampires could kill him. His speed was incredible, astonishing everyone present!
John's eyes widened in disbelief. How could a mutant focused on control possess such physical prowess?! He gasped, his throat clicking, but no sound came out. The other vampires nervously aimed their guns at Donnie, ready to act.
Several Mini-Transformers assembled themselves, watching menacingly. Outside, Optimus Prime was also poised, ready to unleash heavy weaponry and bury these filthy creatures here.
"One last question: why did Deacon want me to fight the vampires to the death?" Donnie stared at the Pureblood, tightening his grip. He harbored no goodwill towards these creatures who fed on ordinary humans. If he had the chance, he'd kill as many as possible, eliminating a major threat to humanity.
John's eyes turned even more bloodshot. He had no idea, and Deacon wouldn't tell him.
With a snap, Donnie broke the Pureblood's neck and then mercilessly attacked the other vampires! He lunged forward, a blade forming in his hand, and instantly decapitated a vampire. For vampires of this caliber, decapitation would eventually lead to death anyway.
The vampires screamed and retaliated. Their master was dead, and according to the ways of the vampire world, they wouldn't survive either; they'd be executed even if they returned.
Countless bullets rained down on Donnie, but they were blocked by his metallic constructs. The gangsters, not to be outdone, seized the opportunity to fight back, knocking several vampires to the ground.
"Don't let them get close enough to bite!" Donnie roared. A vampire, hit in a vital spot, didn't die immediately. Instead, it ripped off its mask and bit a nearby gangster.
Everyone was stunned. They had shot the creature multiple times, so why wasn't it dead? They had never encountered such an enemy. Were they all mutants?
With a deafening boom, Optimus Prime charged in, reducing the last vampire to a bloody pulp with its vulcan cannon, leaving it utterly destroyed.
Amidst the chaos, Donnie calmly killed the bitten civilian. As long as a vital spot was hit before the transformation into a vampire was complete, they would still die.
"Who exactly are these people?"
The group was filled with uncertainty. This was too bizarre. They were wounded and bleeding, yet possessed such formidable combat power, coupled with superhuman agility...
"They're vampires. You're lucky you didn't get bitten." Donnie dragged John's body into a patch of direct sunlight. John's body instantly ignited, turning to ash.
Everyone else was dumbfounded. This defied all logic and shattered their understanding of the world. For the first time, the door to a new world opened before their eyes.
Donnie paid them little mind, urging the old bartender to finish modifying his motorcycle. He needed more reliable combat power, not a cowardly bartender who hid and played dead during every fight.
As he was leaving, a burly man, supported by others, shouted at Donnie, vowing to repay him someday.
Donnie laughed, pretending not to hear. The gangsters weren't good people, but they were still human. Killing a pack of beasts to save innocent people caught in the crossfire was something Donnie wouldn't hesitate to do.
He had never been a good person, nor would he allow himself to be. He simply followed his own path, until the day he would finally fall in the endless blood battles of the future.
He, Donnie the Mechanic, could walk openly in the light without reservation and roam fearlessly in the darkness.
The Vampire Kingdom. Standing for thousands of years, its history rivaled that of humanity. Where there were humans, there were vampires.
For millennia, vampires had waged a protracted war against various human factions. Though often bloodied, they always managed to rise again, growing stronger before resuming hostilities. This cycle had repeated for far too long, to the point of annoyance for some within the Vampire Kingdom.
Deacon appeared as a handsome young man, with pale skin, sharp features, and a slender build. Only his narrow eyes flickered with an eerie light. He slammed his headphones onto the table, his expression unreadable.
He had listening equipment on John and had heard everything. Donnie was more cunning than he had anticipated, displaying a level of intelligence uncommon for his age.
But it was merely a small cleverness, insignificant to the grand scheme of things. The inevitable clash between the two sides was unavoidable.
"Deacon Frost," a server entered. "The Council requests your presence. The members have matters to discuss with you."
Deacon smirked and stood up, walking in carelessly. His hair was disheveled, his shirt unbuttoned, giving him a slovenly appearance, as if he held the Vampire Council in utter contempt.
The server paid it no mind; Donnie had always been like this, and he had the right to be.
The Vampire Council was ancient, so ancient that it disgusted and irritated the new generation like Deacon.
The Vampire King rarely involved himself in the kingdom's affairs, with most of the power held by the Council. However, to the new generation, this Council was as rotten as decaying flesh. The Council had only thirteen seats, controlled by the traditional Thirteen Clans, a situation that had persisted for thousands of years, long enough to incite anger and disgust in many families.
He, Deacon Frost, had grown up in this era of decay. Behind him stood countless families, both large and small, including the Thompson Family. They followed Deacon, seeking to change their disadvantaged status, wanting to participate in the Council and oust the Thirteen Clans.
The Speaker was currently overwhelmed. Vampire hunters had intensified their crackdown on vampires, leading to the loss of many strongholds, the deaths of numerous vampires, and the destruction of many blood banks. This had begun to affect the entire Vampire Kingdom's blood supply.
Buying from hospitals and the government wasn't enough; they didn't have enough money, and blood was expensive.
The Speaker was furious and yelled at Deacon as he entered, demanding to know why he had provoked the Mechanic.
"That damned mutant has Charles and Erik backing him! S.H.I.E.L.D. is also watching him! Are you insane, provoking him now? We've already lost too many people, and you want to start a war with the mutant factions?!" The Speaker slammed the table, unable to tolerate Deacon acting without the Council's approval, as it would bring new crises upon them.
Deacon scoffed. These arguments had occurred many times before. He disdained these old fools for their indecisiveness.
"Humans are merely food! We are creatures that feed on humans!" Deacon declared.
The Speaker sneered, and the other council members joined in. They laughed at Deacon's ignorance, believing he was still living in the peak era of vampires centuries ago.
"Do you know how many vampires are left in the world?" the Speaker asked coldly. "One million! With billions of humans worldwide, and considering our reproduction rate, we've barely reached one million! You know nothing! This world is far crazier and more dangerous than you can imagine!"
Deacon was taken aback. He was indeed stunned. From the moment he was turned into a vampire, he had been lost in the dream of vampire supremacy.
"There are too many hidden races in this world. They live in seclusion, but any one of them could wipe us out. And that's not even considering humans and mutants joining the fray!" The Speaker spoke earnestly, seeing this young man as utterly clueless.
"Why didn't you tell me? You should have told me long ago..." Deacon's face darkened. He was never known for his good temper; even in his brutality, he had killed countless of his own kind.
"Because you are not a Pureblood, and we are different. We are born Purebloods, and we have an innate mission to fight for vampires." A council member suddenly spoke, his words representing the Council's viewpoint: an acquired Half-blood had no right to participate in high-level matters.
Deacon was enraged. At that moment, he even considered killing the council member. For years, he had been suppressed and ostracized by the Council due to his acquired status, preventing him from participating.
Finally, Deacon sneered, uttered, "You will all pay the price," and turned to leave. He had truly developed murderous intent towards the Council, and the God-Making Plan was nearly deciphered; he was just waiting for the right moment.
The sound of his footsteps faded, and the Council fell silent again. Everyone heard Deacon's threat but remained unmoved.
An council member looked at the Speaker and asked, "Aren't we going to stop him? It looks like he's deciphered the key content. We don't know what it is, but we can definitely seize it."
"I know what it is. I've always known," the Speaker said dismissively. "The things recorded on those Human Skin Parchments are sporadically mentioned in my family's ancient texts. They're just for creating combat servants for our ancestors in ancient times. Don't worry, it's not too late to seize it after he succeeds."
He had also kept many things from the other council members, as there were conflicts and struggles even among the Thirteen Clans. Although he didn't know the specific details of those servants, based on the information he possessed, they were essentially war machines. This information could be confirmed as not being recorded on those Human Skin Parchments. Even Deacon wouldn't know the true nature of these weapons; the Human Skin Parchments only contained the manufacturing methods.
According to records, thousands of years ago, during the ancient era, vampires had a terrifying enemy.
At that time, the vampire race was being slaughtered one-sidedly, pushed to the brink of extinction. Even the progenitor Dracula suffered heavy defeats, losing battle after battle. Thus, Dracula created these biological weapons to fight against that terrifying enemy and his pursuing army.
According to the records, that terrifying enemy seemed to be a Mutant.
His name was Apocalypse.
