Background / History

Angel Leng is a high-ranking angel formerly associated with Ruoning. During the crisis caused by Liu Yurou's overwhelming imperial might, Leng is the first angel to reach Holy Kesha's side. Seeing Angel Yan unconscious and other angels subdued, she draws her Flaming Sword on Liu Yurou despite the immense disparity in power. 541

As Angel civilization begins pursuing cultivation, Leng is among the angels most eager to obtain techniques and resources from other worlds. She approaches Biyao first upon the latter's arrival at Merlo Heavenly Court and becomes Biyao's first disciple. Biyao teaches the angels her cultivation system, gifts Leng a low-grade immortal sword and cultivation techniques, and helps her begin absorbing spiritual energy. 564 565

Leng later seeks access to artifact forging and array inscription. Holy Kesha opens part of the Sacred Knowledge Treasury to her, while Leng moves into Qing Mo's villa to continue studying. She then takes the initiative to swear the Guardian Oath to Qing Mo, becoming his Guardian Angel and “golden canary.” 568 569

Her former bond with Ruoning eventually becomes a personal reckoning. When Hua Ye and Ruoning resurface, Leng declares that it will be the last time she calls Ruoning “Master” and confronts her with the immortal sword Biyao gave her. 572 573

Appearance

Angel Leng is a blonde angel commonly identified by her golden ponytail, prominent golden ahoge, and a pair of snow-white wings when wearing angelic battle attire. 571 626

  • Often wears the short-skirted angel uniform associated with Merlo Heavenly Court. 571
  • Has also worn a black-and-white maid outfit while studying formations. 569
  • Appears in a white floral dress during her intervention against Davy Jones. 710
  • Carries herself with a smug, dramatic posture, frequently standing with her hands on her hips. 574 605

Personality

Leng is intensely ambitious about becoming stronger. She actively seeks masters, cultivation methods, combat opponents, and auxiliary arts rather than waiting for instruction. She openly treats powerful enemies such as Luo Cheng and Ye Feng as “whetstones” for her own growth, even when they are dangerous enough to seriously injure her. 568 583 605

She is also mischievous, competitive, and openly chuunibyou. Leng enjoys showing off her achievements, provoking Liang Bing, and turning ordinary situations into dramatic declarations. Her enthusiasm can become reckless, but she is diligent in cultivation and repeatedly shares useful knowledge with other angels. 570 576 617

In battle, Leng combines confidence with cruelty and pragmatism. She favors effective tactics over honorable duels, records successful operations for other angels to learn from, and has few reservations about humiliating or brutally punishing enemies who threaten her allies or disturb Qing Mo. 574 576 749

  • Her spiritual-energy enhancement makes conventional Dark Silver weapons unable to damage her beneath the skin. 562 565
