Background / History

Isolte is the daughter of patrol knights Mateo Cruel and Emery Cruel, both Advanced-rank Water God Style swordsmen. Their connections within the Asura Kingdom's patrol knight corps exposed her early to the dangers and losses of knightly service. 17 21

She entered the Water God Style dojo as a noble girl with blue hair and exceptional athletic ability. In her first spar with Dolin, she injured his unguarded leg, but the attack had targeted the most practical opening in his defense rather than being intended as humiliation. Reida later accepted Dolin as a disciple and named Isolte his senior sister. 7 8

Isolte and Dolin subsequently trained together daily. With Reida's approval, Dolin began teaching her magic alongside their sword sparring. Though she lacked magical talent, she persisted through repeated failures and eventually cast a small Water Ball after Dolin guided her mana circulation. 8 9

At age ten, she chose to leave Asura and train as an adventurer with Dolin. Her parents initially opposed sending their young daughter abroad, but acknowledged that her Water God Style aptitude had already surpassed their own.
