Background / History

Eris was born into the Boreas Greyrat family as the daughter of Philip and Hilda Boreas Greyrat, with Sauros Boreas Greyrat as her grandfather. Her fifth birthday banquet in Roa marked her first meeting with her cousin, Dolin Prodia Greyrat. 15 16

At the time, Ghislaine Dedoldia was teaching her the Sword God Style. Eris was physically gifted, stubborn, and intensely interested in swordsmanship, but struggled with subjects she disliked, including reading, writing, and magic. Dolin advised Philip to let her pursue the sword while still arranging magical instruction. 16

Before the Teleportation Incident, Eris remained eager to learn Dolin's flying magic and dreamed of becoming an adventurer with him. 27 29

The Teleportation Incident initially separated Eris from Philip and Hilda and destroyed Roa. After Sauros's execution, she traveled with Dolin through the Conflict Zone, reunited with her parents, and left for the Holy Land of Swords with Ghislaine to become stronger. 30 31 33 34

She is exceptionally persistent in subjects that interest her. Roa and Early Training

Eris meets Dolin during her fifth-birthday visit in Roa. After challenging him to a spar, she becomes fascinated by his flying magic and asks him to teach her. Dolin teaches her and Ghislaine briefly before advising Philip to support Eris's path as a swordswoman. 16

She later receives magical instruction from Rudeus, but remains focused on learning Dolin's flying magic rather than conventional spellcasting. 27

Teleportation Incident

Eris is in Ars with Dolin when the Teleportation Incident engulfs Fittoa Territory. He takes her to safety by flight, while Ghislaine is sent to extract Philip and Hilda from Fittoa beforehand. 29

The disappearance of Fittoa leaves Eris terrified and grief-stricken. She travels with Dolin to the wasteland where Roa once stood, then finds resolve in his belief that a home can be rebuilt as long as family remains. 30

Sauros's Execution and the Conflict Zone

After Sauros is arrested and Eris flees an unwanted political marriage, Dolin rescues her. Sauros entrusts her to Dolin before his execution. 31

Eris then joins Dawn of Ignis as an adventurer and travels through the Conflict Zone to find Philip, Hilda, and Ghislaine. She reunites with her parents in Hammerbolga. 32 33

Holy Land of Swords

Following Dolin's victory over the Sword God and Sword Emperors, Nina granted Eris and Ghislaine the title of Sword Emperor.
