"Sylphie, where do you think Lara went?"

Sylphie shook her head.

"I don't know."

"Ah... that child... She's been running all over the place ever since her father passed away."

"Well, Roxy, you don't need to worry about Lara. She's strong—no weaker than her father was."

"I know. I'm just worried about her... Ah... I don't even know what she's thinking anymore. She never tells us what she's doing."

"She's been like that ever since Rudy left. The children have grown up too, so just let her do as she pleases."

"You're right..."

Ever since Rudy left, the children's relationships hadn't exactly grown distant, but... how should I put it?

They had fewer chances to see each other, though they still came to the weekly family meetings.

But Lara hadn't shown up at any of the family meetings these past few years...

Tina and Windsor had left too. Only four of the children could attend the so-called family meetings, yet Lara never came.

Whenever Lucy, Sieg, and Lily attended, they didn't know what to say either. In the end, the meetings always wrapped up hastily...

If this had been the past, this place would have been lively.

Aisha and Eris would tease Rudy by the sofa, while Sylphie and I would tell them to stop—only to go over and tease Rudy with them after a while.
