Maxime: Nicolas Flamel's student has indeed arrived
The interior of the Thestral carriage.
Lucien and Riemann sat on the leather sofa, and Riemann couldn't help but sigh:
"It's much faster Hogwarts Express; the only comfortable thing on the train is the Prefect's compartment."
Lucien nodded. "Indeed, the Thestral fly very fast, but you can't feel any turbulence inside the carriage."
The Thestral carriage can actually be considered a unique feature of Hogwarts, given that the Forbidden Forest is home to one of the largest Thestral populations in Daiying.
During their conversation, Lucien learned that the Thestral Hagrid originally consisted of one male Thestral and five Thestral, and Hagrid had even tamed the Thestral, naming him "Woo Woo."
As Lucien listened to Hagrid recount how he raised Woo Woo and how he found it a companion, the story seemed increasingly familiar.
Upon closer inspection, isn't it just a replica of the Acromantula?
It has to be admitted that Hagrid is really good at taking care of Magical Creatures; he can raise any kind of creature to a thriving population.
"By the way, Riemann, when we set off, I heard you call Professor Shafiq 'Auntie'?"
Riemann: "Well, the connection is actually quite distant. The professor is my mother's cousin's daughter, but it was you, Lucien, who selected me for the preliminary rounds. I'm not a 'connection'."
Upon hearing Riemann's reply, Lucien chuckled and teased:
"So, Professor Shafiq's decision to have me conduct the assessment at the last minute was a way of avoiding any appearance of impropriety?"
Riemann reclined on the sofa and waved his hand:
"Oh dear, families like ours are all related by blood. There were even two or three other contestants who could be considered relatives of Professor Shafiq and me!"
Time passed, Thestral carriage sped through the clouds.
"Get ready, we're almost there."
As the door opened, Shafiq's voice rang out in the living room.
Stepping out of the bedroom, Professor Shafiq had abandoned his previous carefree demeanor. His long, curly black hair was styled in an updo, and his plain, unassuming gray-white robe had been replaced with a long black dress.
With the hair no longer obscuring her face, Lucien could finally see the other person's true appearance: delicate features and a slight languor in her light gray eyes.
Well, Professor Shafiq is actually quite young, at least among professors. He's probably around the same age as Snape, and looks to be in his thirties or forties.
Riemann said with a grin:
"Auntie, I rarely see you dressed like this."
Shafiq didn't correct Riemann's address this time, since he was no longer at Hogwarts anyway.
She shrugged helplessly, instantly bringing back the lazy feeling that had been suppressed by her makeup and hair.
"After all, we're representing Hogwarts on this trip, so even though it's quite troublesome, it's still..."
"Never mind that, you can look out the window; we should be in the Beauxbatons area by now."
Lucien and Riemann walked to the window and looked down at the majestic, continuous mountain range below. This was the Pyrenees, where Beauxbatons Academy of Magic was located.
As the Thestral carriage flew through the air, Lucien suddenly sensed a slight magical fluctuation, as if he were passing through a veil-like magical barrier.
A magnificent palace complex has emerged from the once empty mountains.
Beauxbatons!
Before long, the carriage landed smoothly at the gate, and Professor Shafiq led Lucien and the other two out of the carriage.
Several figures were already waiting outside the magnificent stone school gate.
One of the women was particularly eye-catching; she was enormous, probably about the same height as Hagrid.
But he had very delicate features, with an olive-colored, handsome face, a high, pointed nose, and a pair of large, dark, and watery eyes.
Adorned in magnificent attire and adorned with various jewelry, she exudes an even more elegant and graceful aura.
Lucien recognized the woman at first glance: Olympe Maxime, the principal of Beauxbatons.
"Welcome to Beauxbatons, distinguished guests of Hogwarts."
Madame Maxime stepped forward and gently embraced Professor Shafiq.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, dear Professor Shafiq."
Shafiq himself is quite tall, but he looks very "petite" next to Maxime, and when Maxim holds him in his arms, he looks like a delicate rag doll.
Because of her height, Maxime looked down at the two students. When she saw Lucien, especially his unusual dark green eyes, her smile widened.
They've arrived, Nicolas Flamel's student.
