"So, how did it feel to use the Patronus Charm for the first time?"

When asked by Dumbledore, Lucien did not hesitate and recounted the entire process of trying the Patronus Charm the night before—from the unusual activity of magic when he recited the incantation, to the uncontrollable outpouring of magic, to his consciousness being overwhelmed by the incoming "voices," and finally waking up in the morning.

Dumbledore adjusted his half-moon glasses and remained silent.

This was the first time he had heard of Lucien's situation.

Normally, when wizards first practice the Patronus Charm, they can't cast it at all—at most, a few wisps of silvery-white steam will emerge from the tip of their staff, which is considered quite a talent.

Why would it passively consume all of my magic power instead?

Moreover, most spells don't exhibit this behavior; only certain strange Dark Magic might instantly drain a large amount of magic power.

It's clearly an extremely positive Patronus Charm, so how could it possibly act like Dark Magic...?

"No rush," Dumbledore reassured him. "This magic is rather profound; don't try it alone yet."

He was actually quite curious to see what form Lucien's Patronus would take.

Because wizards with extraordinary talents often have Patronus that are even rarer and more unusual—such as Magical Creatures or even extinct ancient species.

Dumbledore believed that Lucien naturally belonged to this category, and even before he had formed a complete Patronus, the divine mist he released already possessed a considerable degree of specialness.

Lucien inquired, "Was the silver Phoenix that came to inform me this morning the Patronus you summoned?"

Dumbledore: "That's the fully formed Patronus Charm. However, the method of using the Patronus to send messages was something I invented separately, and it's quite practical."

He stroked his beard, his tone casual:

"If you want to learn, I'll teach you after you've mastered the Patronus Charm— "

Before he could finish speaking, Dumbledore seemed to realize something and simply laughed:

"But if you have a convenient communication tool like Instant Whisper, you don't need this outdated technique."

Before the advent of alchemical creations like Instant Whisper, wizards relied on owls to deliver messages, and long-distance communication was time-consuming.

The advanced use of Patronus Angels for communication is indeed very convenient.

However, there are very few wizards who have mastered the Patronus Charm, and even fewer who can condense a complete Patronus. Therefore, this means of communication can only belong to a small group of people and has no possibility of becoming widespread.

It is truly not as significant to the Wizarding World as Instant Whisper.

That's something even newly awakened wizards can learn to use; it's possible to have a copy for everyone, potentially making the entire Wizarding World more interconnected!

As for matters related to Instant Whisper, Dumbledore didn't need to inquire about them— Nicolas had already boasted to him about his student's masterpiece.

Lucien grinned:

"Having more skills is never a bad thing; it's always good to learn more."

A hint of amusement flashed in Dumbledore's eyes:

"Having many skills doesn't become a burden? That's an interesting statement."

After exchanging a few words, Lucien turned the conversation back to Nagini:

"I've made some progress on Nagini's curse, but..."

Dumbledore had tried to cure Nagini's curse before, so he knew her condition quite well and was aware of the difficulties involved.

That curse had haunted her for decades, almost becoming one with her; to remove it without harming her was no easy task.

"Since Newt has entrusted her to you, it means I trust you," Dumbledore said. "I've been very busy lately, and I expect to be even busier in the future. I haven't been able to spare any time for Nagini's matter..."

He paused, a hint of wistfulness in his voice, "Well, and you young people's brains work better than an old guy like me."

Dumbledore knew that in some difficult problems, the inspiration brought by extraordinary talent was crucial, and might be the final piece of the puzzle in solving the problem.

In the realm of Dark Magic, he had long known that Lucien possessed exceptional talent in that area.

"What are your thoughts on the curse of Nagini?" Dumbledore asked.

Lucien thought for a moment and then said carefully:

"The biggest problem is still removing the curse from the soul... If we can learn more about curses, we'll be more confident in all aspects of healing."

Dumbledore nodded. "Alright, then continue your studies on curses. I'll also ask some more knowledgeable people for you."

Professionals?

When it comes to knowledge and talent in Dark Magic, Dumbledore was probably among the very best of his time.

Someone who knows more about the Dark Magic than Dumbledore...

Oh, is Dumbledore going to visit someone in prison again?

"Oh, right. I even found you a tutor for learning the Patronus Charm."

These words startled Lucien.

Tutor? Someone who teaches Patronus Charm?

To be honest, his first thought was of the scene in the original book where Harry was learning the Patronus Charm from Lupin.

Remus Lupin, Harry's father's classmate and friend, is very skilled in Defense Against the Dark Arts.

If all goes well, I should be teaching at Hogwarts next school year...

Dumbledore picked up his teacup, then put it down, a hint of unusual hesitation in his expression.

"However, you might need to pay for it yourself..."
