Voldemort's Origin
Headmaster's Office.
Sitting opposite Dumbledore, Lucien noticed that the blue eyes behind those Half-moon Spectacles were still bright, but Dumbledore's face showed an unconcealable weariness.
The table wasn't set with the usual exquisite tea set and desserts; instead, there were only a few scattered parchments and a few open old books.
It seems that Dumbledore has indeed traveled to quite a few places recently.
"Long time no see, Headmaster," Lucien greeted him, then took out a teapot, cups, and several small boxes from his pocket.
Although they look unremarkable, these teapots and boxes are alchemical gadgets that Lucien made himself.
The preservation and heat retention effects are excellent; food placed inside retains almost the same texture and taste as when it was freshly made, even after a period of time.
Upon opening the box, one finds several Chinese desserts, including mung bean cakes and dragon beard candy, all made by Dobby according to Lucien's culinary teachings.
Lucien poured Dumbledore a cup of green tea and said:
These are Chinese-style tea snacks. I don't know if you'll enjoy them.
Dumbledore picked up a piece of mung bean cake, put it in his mouth,
"It's delicious, just not sweet enough."
Lucien smiled and said, "Not sweet is already a very high compliment for a Chinese dessert."
Dumbledore picked up another piece of dragon's beard candy, put it in his mouth, his eyes lit up slightly, and he couldn't resist taking another piece and stuffing it into his mouth before finally letting out a satisfied sigh.
"A good amount of sugar can relieve fatigue."
Lucien's lips twitched slightly; the dragon beard candy was the sweetest of all the desserts.
Dumbledore a sip of green tea, leaned back in his chair, and his weariness eased slightly.
During his time away, he devoted most of his energy to investigating Voldemort's origins.
After collecting and integrating numerous clues, it was discovered that Voldemort's bloodline might originate from the Gaunt family.
The surname Gaunt, when traced back to its origin, is Slytherin — Salazar Slytherin.
Voldemort displayed talents from a young age, such as Parseltongue, his abilities in the Dark Magic, and his status as Slytherin during his school years...
These coincidences made it hard for Dumbledore not to suspect the connection between Voldemort and "Gaunt".
However, the Gaunt family had declined, its members were few in number, and many of its members exhibited extreme and eccentric behavior.
The only one still alive, Gaunt, seems to be in Azkaban.
I need to find some time to go to Azkaban and ask around.
If it can be confirmed that Voldemort is indeed related to the Gaunt family, or even a direct descendant of the family, then Dumbledore can search for places related to the Gaunt family and perhaps find some clues.
Voldemort places great importance on bloodlines, and knowing his origins would undoubtedly lead to some action.
Dumbledore put down his teacup and looked at Lucien: "You came to see me today not just to bring these delicious teas and snacks, did you?"
Lucien nodded, took a small crystal bottle from his pocket, and gently pushed it in front of Dumbledore.
The bottle contained a silvery-white liquid that swirled gently in the candlelight, occasionally flashing with a faint wisp of golden light.
"This is my improved Wolfsbane Potion," Lucien said. "The original Wolfsbane Potion leaves Werewolf weak for a week after transformation. The improved version reduces the recovery period to two or three days."
Dumbledore's eyes lit up slightly.
Pick up the crystal bottle and examine it carefully under the light.
In the silvery-white liquid, tiny golden filaments of light could be seen faintly.
Although Dumbledore never personally concocted the Wolfsbane Potion, he knew quite a bit about this magical potion.
"This has been a great help!" Dumbledore put down the crystal bottle, his weariness vanishing and replaced by genuine joy. "The improvement to the Wolfsbane Potion certainly deserves a... Cauldron Medal."
The Cauldron Medal is an honorary award in the field of potions.
Dumbledore wanted to say "worthy of the Order of Merlin," at least a third class would be fine.
Although it's not an original potion, this level of improvement is already quite excellent.
The key lies in simplifying and adjusting the refining methods and materials, making potions more widely available, which is equally significant.
But then he remembered that Lucien already had a Order of Merlin, and it was even a first-class medal.
Therefore, calling it the Cauldron Medal is more appropriate.
