Wu Zhangkong serves as the teacher of East Sea Academy's first-year Zero Class. Known for his punctuality, he personally brings Li Moxun into the classroom and introduces him as a new student, having recognized the exceptional potential of Li Moxun's Titan Snow Demon King martial soul and dual ultimate attributes. He also arranges Li Moxun's dormitory placement. 2

After Li Moxun gravely injures Wang Jinxi in their duel, Wu Zhangkong supports the school’s handling of the incident. When Wang Jinxi’s parents attempt to pressure the academy for greater compensation, he releases his six soul rings, threatens them with his Frost Sword, and orders that Wang Jinxi receive a demerit and transfer away. 5 He later defends this decision to Director Long Hengxu, arguing that Li Moxun’s talent and conduct give no reason for the student to be bullied. 6

He conducts regular practical-combat training for Zero Class, including exercises in which the entire class fights him. During Li Moxun’s first such session, Wu Zhangkong tests the new student seriously and is impressed by his ability to contest the Frost Sword’s ice power and destroy its manifested forms with Ice Prison Fist. 6 7

Following the supernatural incident surrounding Tang Wulin and Gu Yue, Wu Zhangkong investigates but cannot determine what occurred. He remains concerned over Tang Wulin’s unexplained condition and the powerful presences involved. 17 19 When Li Moxun returns after four months away, Wu Zhangkong chooses not to pry into the student’s private opportunity, instead urging him to be prepared and to live up to the strength he has shown. 29

After Li Moxun overwhelms Tang Wulin and Xie Xie in a training match, Wu Zhangkong orders Gu Yue and Xu Xiaoyan to join the battle, turning the assessment into a four-on-one confrontation. He subsequently carries the seriously injured Tang Wulin and Xie Xie to receive treatment. 31 32 In a later rematch, he agrees to fight at the strength of a Third-Ring Soul Master. Though Li Moxun does not share the usual admiration for Shrek Academy, Wu Zhangkong agrees to use his personal Shrek connections to obtain him an opportunity to enter the Shrek Academy Youth Class. He directly confronts adults who try to exploit Li Moxun and refuses to let a gifted student be bullied. 5 6 He is also perceptive and respectful of personal boundaries: despite suspecting Li Moxun has found an important opportunity during his leave, he deliberately declines to interrogate him. 29

Wu Zhangkong is capable of recognizing his students’ progress without sacrificing discipline. After the Zero Class members exploit his self-imposed Third-Ring restriction to land a successful hit, he frankly acknowledges their achievement while immediately adjusting the next challenge to the Fourth Ring. 42 His dedication to Li Moxun is strong enough for him to seek assistance from his Shrek Academy teacher despite the personal difficulty of returning to Shrek. 51 53
