| Name | Tang Sect (唐门) |
| Type | Soul master organization |
| Occupation / Role | Operates regional branches, soul-device factories, storage facilities, and military-supply operations 12 27 |
| Status | Active; suffers major losses, asset raids, and high-ranking casualties during operations targeted by Li Moxun and external forces, but retains extensive strategic resources and influence among the world's major powers 12 28 67 113 164 |
| First Appearance | Mentioned as Li Moxun's prospective source for an alchemy furnace 9 |
Background / History
The Tang Sect possesses an inheritance older than the Spirit Pagoda's, despite having experienced an interruption in its legacy. Li Moxun considers it a likely source of historical pill-refining equipment and knowledge. 9
Its presence is widespread: the Tang Sect maintains branches in nearly every reasonably sized city, making its personnel especially numerous at the Tianhai City auction and outnumbering other major organizations in regional visibility 21.
The sect maintains a close historical relationship with Shrek Academy. Their personnel substantially overlap, with Tang Sect members often studying at Shrek and Shrek graduates frequently entering the Tang Sect; this connection entitles the sect to compensation when Shrek handles resources of mutual interest. 164
Facilities and Operations
| Location / Facility | Known Function | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| East Sea City branch | Manufactures auxiliary Soul Guidance Devices and daily-use items. | Its strategic importance is lower than the Tianhai branch's. 27 |
| East Sea City soul-device warehouse | Stores low-level Soul Guidance shells, standardized mechas, and specialized equipment. | Contained a Class Five-or-Six Soul Guidance Pill Furnace used to process spirit herbs into spirit liquid. 12 |
| Tianhai City branch | Arms factory and military-supply base. | Supplies materials to the nearby Sea God Legion and has some legion personnel stationed on-site. 27 |
| Skysea City factory grounds | Tang Sect factory complex. | The site is targeted in the scheme surrounding Leng Yaozhu's death and is later set ablaze. 64 67 |
| Tang Sect Convoy / Transport Routes | Moves critical regional resources, including substantial batches of spirit herbs. | Regularly ambushed for high-tier resources, as seen during transport missions intercepted by Li Moxun. 110 113 |
| Shrek Auction private room | Hosts high-ranking Tang Sect representatives during major Shrek City auctions. | Tang Sect experts assess rare cultivation resources and coordinate with Shrek Academy over compensation and distribution. 164 |
Security and Resources
- Regional branches employ Soul Masters, Soul Sages, mechas, Soul Guidance cannons, protective shields, and Soul Guidance shells 12 28.
- Higher-ranking transport operations utilize elite squads from the Soul Fighting Hall, deploying purple and black mechas, seventh-rank laser swords, and Eight-Ring Soul Douluo-level Black-Rank Fighters equipped with Three-Word Battle Armor 112 113.
- The East Sea City branch responds to intrusion with white and yellow mechas and wide-area shell bombardment 12.
- Tianhai City's facility deploys high-grade Soul Guidance shells, lasers, mechas, and rapid reconnaissance measures 27.
- A Soul Sage is considered the highest regular combat authority at a regional branch; stronger personnel are generally stationed at headquarters or assigned to the Soul Fighting Hall 28.
- The sect maintains extensive treasuries and collections valuable enough to be targeted for cultivation resources, housing massive quantities of century-old, thousand-year, and ten-thousand-year spirit herbs originating from locations like the Icefire Yin Yang Well 26 28 114.
- The Tang Sect's overall reserves include approximately three hundred Ten-Thousand-Year Spirit Herbs and around one thousand Thousand-Year Spirit Herbs, enabled by its long accumulation and control of the Icefire Yin Yang Well 164.
- A single convoy assaulted by Li Moxun carried roughly one-fifth of the spirit-herb resources the Tang Sect intended to distribute to its other branches that year; the broader annual allocation was divided among five transport squads 112.
- Tang Sect Super Douluo-level personnel are capable of responding to extraordinary disturbances, though they may withdraw rather than confront unknown god-level threats directly 131.
Major Incidents
East Sea City Infiltration
Li Moxun infiltrates the East Sea City Tang Sect through its guarded gate, destroys two white mechas, and reaches the soul-device warehouse. His clone acquires the Soul Guidance Pill Furnace and removes more than half of the stored items before being destroyed by a Soul Sage using lightning, defensive shielding, and Soul Guidance cannons 12.
Tianhai City Assassination Attempt
After Li Moxun purchases a ten-thousand-year Forest Wolf Spirit Bone at auction, a Tianhai City Tang Sect elder attempts to kill him after blocking local communications. Li Moxun avoids the attack by dispelling his clone, leaving the elder with only the clone's dissipating remains 22.
Tianhai City Branch Raid
Li Moxun sends two clones against the Tianhai City branch: one launches a frontal assault to confront the branch's Soul Sage, while Zero infiltrates the treasury to seize resources 26.
The attacking clone activates the high-level Spirit Word Black Sun, absorbing fourth-grade Soul Guidance shells, mechas, and nearby personnel. The operation results in the death of a Tang Sect Soul Sage, while Zero removes the sect's stored collections and escapes 27 28.
Factory Attack and Leng Yaozhu Incident
Gu Yue's plan uses Tang Sect grounds to conceal and redirect blame for Leng Yaozhu's death. Di Tian enters the facility, destroys its communications, and attacks Leng Yaozhu before throwing her into the Tang Sect base 64 65 66.
Two unidentified figures then attack Leng Yaozhu with Lord Flame and Wind King's Eye. The combined fire-and-wind assault kills her and burns Tang Sect factories 66 67.
Convoy Ambush and Resource Seizure
Li Moxun intercepts a high-value Tang Sect transport convoy escorted by purple mechas and a black mecha commanded by a Black-Rank Fighter (Soul Douluo with Three-Word Battle Armor). Li Moxun defeats the escort squad, seizes their storage rings containing vast quantities of spirit herbs and a set of Standard Two-Word Battle Armor, and leaves the convoy devastated 112 113 114.
The convoy's cargo represents approximately one-fifth of the Tang Sect's planned annual spirit-herb allocation to its other branches. The attack kills the Eight-Ring Black-Rank Fighter and several Soul Fighting Hall members in less than five minutes, despite the convoy's elite escort. 112 113
Pocket-Realm Disturbance
During the god-level disturbance outside Shrek City connected to Tang Wulin's abduction and bloodline extraction, Tang Sect Super Douluo-level observers arrive at the scene. Faced with the confrontation among Limit Douluo-level figures and the unknown intruder's abnormal power, they decline to intervene and withdraw. 131
Shrek Auction Participation
At the Shrek Auction, Tang Sect representatives identify the Supreme Treasure Pills as products of an alchemical method originating at least ten thousand years earlier. Because the pills were obtained from an outside source and Shrek Academy retained three bottles, the Tang Sect expects to receive a share as compensation for its close institutional relationship with Shrek. 164
Shrek–Spirit Pagoda Standoff
When Qian Gu Dongfeng pressures Shrek Academy over Long Yeyue's apparent breakthrough, the returning Tang Sect powerhouse Zang Xin releases his sword intent in support of Shrek. His intervention contributes to Qian Gu Dongfeng's caution before the latter accepts Yun Ming's challenge outside Shrek City. 172
