Background / History

Leng Yaozhu was a core powerhouse and Vice Tower Master of the Spirit Pagoda. She was a level-98 Super Douluo, standing only one step below the Limit Douluo rank. Her martial soul was the Flame Phoenix, and her Phoenix True Fire earned her the title of Heavenly Phoenix Douluo. 38 39 46

She intervened in Li Moxun's clone's attempt to kill Mu Chen in Eastsea City. Her attack critically damaged the clone, but its final strike cut her hand and revealed an unfamiliar fire-based power capable of passing through and weakening her Flame Phoenix. 38 39

The wound left by the clone could not be healed with Soul Power. Although her natural regeneration remained functional, the injury's resistance to Soul Power caused Leng Yaozhu shock and humiliation, leading her to order surveillance in pursuit of the assailant. 40

During the journey to the Tianhai Alliance Grand Competition, she approached Li Moxun on the soul train to investigate his twin martial souls. After forcing Gu Yue to vacate her seat, she demanded that Li Moxun display the martial soul possessing the Ultimate Ice attribute. 45

Although Li Moxun revealed the Titan Snow Demon King and an apparently ordinary White Dragon martial soul, Leng Yaozhu judged him to be an exceptionally dangerous genius. Believing his hostility and potential made him a future threat, she resolved to eliminate him rather than attempt to recruit him. 46

Li Moxun retaliated by deploying a clone that lured her from the train into a forest. The clone invoked a World-Ending grade Spirit Word and unleashed a catastrophic fire attack that destroyed her three-word Battle Armor, severely burned her body, and left injuries that Soul Power could not heal. Spirit Pagoda personnel later recovered her and transported her to headquarters for treatment. 47 48 50

Although life-force treatments stabilized her condition, Leng Yaozhu could not accept the permanent damage to her skin and appearance. Her fixation on identifying the individual responsible for her disfigurement drove her to continue investigating unusual bloodline-related powers connected to Li Moxun and Tang Wulin. 50 58 64

Gu Yue ultimately exploited this obsession by falsely directing Leng Yaozhu toward Tang Wulin at a Tang Sect facility. There, Leng Yaozhu was ambushed and severely injured by Di Tian before two mysterious avatars struck her with a combined fire-and-wind attack, killing her and destroying the surrounding Tang Sect factories. 64 66 67

She was also ruthless and decisive toward perceived threats. Once she judged Li Moxun's talent and hostility to be dangerous, she considered killing him the safer option than investing resources to win him over. 46

Her inability to heal injuries inflicted by Li Moxun's clone deeply unsettled her. The damage to her skin and appearance provoked fear, humiliation, rage, and an intensified desire for revenge. 40 50

Following her disfigurement, her desire to uncover the source of the strange power became obsessive. This fixation made her trust Gu Yue's information about Tang Wulin and walk into the trap that led to her death. 58 64 67
