Zhu Family and Marriage Alliance

Zhu Zhuyun is the eldest daughter of the wealthy Star Luo Zhu Family. Her engagement to Dai Weisi positioned her to become crown princess and eventually empress, giving her access to substantial resources and allowing her to accumulate a personal fortune. Zhu Zhuqing, her younger illegitimate half-sister, did not enjoy comparable resources 99.

The Zhu and Dai families’ succession system placed the sisters on opposing sides of a potentially fatal struggle. Zhuyun had nevertheless shown restraint toward Zhuqing. She warned that ending her own engagement would not abolish the marriage alliance: another Zhu girl could replace her, leaving Zhuqing exposed to a less merciful rival 56 57.

Encounter with Zhu Huang

Zhuyun first appears accompanying Dai Weisi into the Star Dou Great Forest to obtain his fourth Soul Ring. During a later confrontation over a Meteor Beast, she speaks on Zhu Huang’s behalf despite believing him vulnerable to Dai Weisi’s group 49 52.

After Peng King beheads Dai Chengyuan, Zhuyun gathers the courage to plead for Dai Weisi and her female Soul Emperor guardian.
