Background / History

Zhu Huang began as a Hundred-Thousand-Year Death Spider Emperor sleeping in the Star Dou Great Forest. Shortly after awakening, he was targeted by Tang Hao for his Soul Ring. Zhu Huang ensnared Tang Hao with spider silk and nearly killed him before Ah Yin intervened, allowing Tang Hao to escape. 2

He converted his Soul Power into demon power through the Heavenly Demon Creation Art and endured heavenly tribulation to assume human form without losing his original strength. The transformation doubled his strength and granted him access to both demon and human bodies. 4

After subduing Da Ming, Er Ming, and Xiao Wu, Zhu Huang taught them and his Death Spiders the Demon God Art. He subsequently recruited Tao Yaoyao by offering a path that avoided the usual hundred-thousand-year tribulation, declaring his aim to unite soul beasts under the Demon Court with himself as Demon Emperor. 6 8

Zhu Huang later established influence among humans as well. He revived Ah Yin through her seed of life at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, formed an alliance with Heaven Dou, and accepted the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud. Rather than personally serving as a Nation-Protecting Douluo, he offered to dispatch powerful subordinates to defend the empire. 16 30

As his strength grew, Zhu Huang built the Sky Demon World, refined the Sea God’s divine sense, elevated numerous followers, and forged the Yin Yang Life and Death Book from the Sea God’s Heart and the Ice and Fire Dragon Kings’ remains. 93 117 119 128
