Background / History

Xiao Wu was originally a hundred-thousand-year Soft Bone Charm Rabbit. Although she had accumulated her cultivation honestly over a hundred thousand years, she considered her species’ innate quality ordinary and envied stronger soul beasts such as the Death Spider Emperor. Fearing death by heavenly tribulation, she resolved to follow her mother Ah Rou’s path and transform into a human. 4

She met Zhu Huang when he confronted Da Ming, Er Ming, and her in the Star Dou Great Forest. Xiao Wu initially tried to use her charm ability against him, but the Heavenly Demon Jade Slip’s backlash instantly incapacitated her. After Zhu Huang defeated Da Ming and Er Ming, Xiao Wu awakened, submitted to him, and eagerly began cultivating the Demon God Art under his guidance. 5 6

When Ah Rou was captured by Bear Lord, Xiao Wu accompanied Zhu Huang in the effort to rescue her. She was relieved and overjoyed when they found her mother alive in Xiong Da’s cave. 11

Following the establishment of Sky Demon Island, Zhu Huang sent Xiao Wu into the human world to observe Tang San. She used a secret technique to reduce her apparent age and strength, enrolled at Notting Academy, and helped Tang San overcome the doorman’s refusal to admit him. 39 40
