Background / History

Wu Duxiong formerly served in the White Scale Guard. He became disillusioned with the organization, believing it had been thoroughly infiltrated by influential families, and chose to leave after offending Wei Zhenzhu. Rather than return to the Guard, he resolved to roam the jianghu as a wandering knight. 8

Alongside Yang Erhu, Yang Lie, and Master Qin, Wu investigated Qin Ziyue's disappearance. Their efforts were supported indirectly by the Dragon King Society, though Wu and Yang Erhu were not its subordinates. The investigation led them into the Jade Wutong Immortal Realm, from which they escaped with Hong Yuan. 9 10

Wu took an immediate liking to Hong Yuan, inviting him to travel with himself and Yang Erhu rather than return home. He later attended Hong Yuan's formal entry into the Tiger-Subduing Sect as Yang Erhu's disciple. 8 13
