Battle Masters really were in a league of their own. It was Li Junshan's first time facing someone head-on. In his previous life, he had never trained in any martial arts, and after coming to this world, he had never learned any techniques either. Under the Battle Master's storm of attacks, he was thrown into confusion for a time and could only rely on his speed to dodge around the two stone lions more than three meters tall.

Looks like I really am no Battle Master. It was only that my genes, modified by the Xenomorphs, were activated that time.

After he did his utmost to draw up the hot current in his lower abdomen that was called battle aura, no glow of battle aura appeared around his body at all. Amid the chaos, Li Junshan thought this to himself.

"Don't worry about the guardian stone lions," York shouted loudly, covering his mouth when he saw his personal guard holding back. "Kill that little bastard for me."

The Battle Master's spirits rose. With an angry roar, the purple sword aura at the tip of his blade instantly swelled to more than three meters long. He swept his sword sideways, and with a thunderous boom, the two massive stone lions split apart through the middle, crashed to the ground, and rolled down the steps in front of the estate onto the street.

Li Junshan's expression changed sharply. With the stone lions no longer shielding him, the Battle Master's sword aura thrust straight toward the top of his head. With no suitable weapon in hand, Li Junshan simply bent down, picked up the stone lion's base, and hurled it at the Battle Master with a whoosh.

"You overestimate yourself," the Battle Master sneered. Facing the hurled stone with its astonishing momentum, his figure did not slow in the slightest. His sword aura chopped down vertically. With a deafening boom, the stone lion's base was split by the Battle Master into a skyful of shattered rock that sprayed in all directions.

After throwing out the stone lion's base, Li Junshan moved as smoothly as flowing water, rapidly retreating toward the street. He was certainly fast, but that Battle Master was not slow either. His foot pushed off the ground, immediately leaving a footprint half an inch deep. His body shot forward like an afterimage, the purple sword aura thrusting straight at Li Junshan's chest.

Li Junshan concentrated fully, raising his mental strength to its peak. Again and again, he narrowly avoided the Battle Master's sword aura by a hair in seemingly impossible moments. It looked as though he was handling it with ease, smooth and effortless, but in reality, he was inwardly groaning nonstop. He did not even have a chance to fight back.

Fate was anxious off to the side. York and the other soldiers were all focused on the fight between the Battle Master and Li Junshan, and for the moment no one paid him any attention. Knowing his magic would not have much effect, and afraid he might accidentally hurt Li Junshan, Fate could only stare helplessly.

Why isn't he using his summoned beasts? Big brother, even if you're keeping a trump card hidden, the Black Dragon would be enough. Why won't you even release ordinary summoned beasts? Fate thought, sweat pouring down his head.

Suddenly hearing a commotion from nearby, Fate found a moment to turn his head and glance over, then froze.

A group appeared on the street. More than a hundred soldiers in heavy armor rode tall horses in a mighty procession, escorting a luxurious carriage among the cavalry. Pulling the carriage were actually two extremely rare pure-white elk.

York had clearly noticed as well. His face immediately filled with smiles as he went up to greet them. The carriage stopped at a distance, and an old man in splendid clothes stepped down, lowering his head to speak with York about something.

"Earl Ross." Fate had spent plenty of time in Floro City before, and he recognized at a glance that this old man was none other than Earl Ross Harriman, a senior figure of the Harriman Family in Floro City.

Just as Fate was still hoping that Earl Ross would uphold justice, he heard a thunderous boom. Startled, he hurriedly turned to look and saw Li Junshan shoot diagonally dozens of meters away. Behind him, a pit half a man deep had appeared in the ground.

"Nicholas, be careful! Stop!"

A loud cry came from the distance. Claur, who had received the news, had rushed over. Seeing that scene from afar, he was scared out of his wits and charged forward while shouting.

The Battle Master paid no attention to Claur's appearance. He still shifted his stance, preparing to charge in for the kill.

"I wanted to experience it a little more, but now it doesn't seem appropriate." Li Junshan dodged another streak of the Battle Master's sword aura and said to him with a smile.

The Battle Master seemed not to hear him. Just as he was about to pursue him again, a strange magical beast suddenly appeared before his eyes. His heart jolted, but he still did not stop. The longsword in his hand turned, and he slashed down at the magical beast in one smooth motion.

The magical beast did not pause after appearing. Like fireworks violently bursting from an exploding fireworks warehouse, its movements had no pattern whatsoever. Like a ghostly afterimage, it circled the Battle Master, reaching out to claw at him or stabbing with its tailbone from time to time.

Clang! The Battle Master's longsword occasionally collided with the Xenomorph's tailbone, producing the sound of metal striking metal. The Battle Master also looked like someone who had survived countless battles. He simply focused and stood his ground, ignoring the lightning-fast Xenomorph and only extending his sword to block when it attacked.

"Looks like one still isn't enough." Li Junshan stopped Claur off to the side, ignoring his rambling attempts to persuade him, and shouted loudly at the Great Sword Master.

The Battle Master turned a deaf ear. The purple sword aura on his longsword suddenly flared brilliantly, and he thrust fiercely. The Xenomorph could not help letting out a miserable cry, struck in the chest by the sword.

Li Junshan's expression chilled. Feeling that Xenomorph's pain and fearing he might lose one for nothing, he did not dare let it attack with its blood. He hurriedly recalled it into his mental space. With a slight movement of his thoughts, he released three more Xenomorphs, and they pounced at the Battle Master at the same time.

At the sight, the Battle Master could not help sucking in a breath of cold air. Even the people watching from afar let out cries of alarm all at once.

The Battle Master had no time to think. The three Xenomorphs pounced swiftly. The one in the middle opened its mouth and spat out a blue-glowing ice spike, while the two on the left and right flanked the Battle Master from both sides, their long tailbones biting toward his neck like venomous snakes.

The Battle Master had not expected the magical beast before him to know magic. He hurriedly raised his sword to block the ice spike, while his body leaped backward, dodging the tailbones the other two Xenomorphs stabbed at him with.

Clang! The Battle Master's sword cut the ice spike in midair into two pieces. His body narrowly avoided the two tailbones, but he felt splintered ice strike his face. Immediately afterward, a burst of intense, unbearable pain came over him, and he screamed miserably.

A battle aura shield was an ability only a Battle Saint possessed. This Battle Master had never expected that ice spike to be powerfully corrosive as well. Caught off guard, he fell victim in an instant. The skin on his face festered at once, corroded into a hole that exposed the bone beneath.

The Battle Master dropped his sword and let out a shrill scream as he clawed wildly at his face. When his ten fingers touched the black fluid at the wound, they were immediately corroded as well, revealing stark white finger bones in the blink of an eye.

Two Xenomorphs bit down on his arms and lightly pulled them apart. The remaining Xenomorph extended its head in front of the screaming Battle Master. Its huge mouth, drooling from time to time, opened wide, and the tongue inside shot out.

Pfft. The Battle Master's head was pierced with a large hole as if it were tofu, and even his brain matter flowed out.

The onlookers' cries of alarm had only just sounded when the three Xenomorphs instantly tore the Battle Master's corpse into several pieces and began chewing with open jaws. Amid the crunching of bones, wherever the Xenomorphs' eyes looked, the people there felt chills run through their bodies and subconsciously backed away a few steps.

Under everyone's horrified gazes, Li Junshan walked smiling up to the Xenomorphs and grabbed the metal-sheened tailbone of one. The Xenomorph obediently wrapped him with its tailbone and gently placed him on its back.

"Fatass." Riding the Xenomorph over to the dumbstruck York, Li Junshan leaned forward and asked, "You seem to be living in the wrong place, don't you? I remember this used to be my home."

Seeing the Xenomorph's mouth, still chewing on the Battle Master's leg bone, move closer to his face, York was scared out of his wits. With a strange cry, he turned and tried to run.

Pfft! Another Xenomorph pierced York's leg bone with its tailbone, and despite his endless screams, dragged him back by force.

"Stop!"

A female voice suddenly rang out.

"How dare you!" Earl Ross also shouted from the side.

"Nicholas, don't!" Claur rushed over as well.

Li Junshan paid no attention. He was still thinking about how to deal with this fatty York when a young girl suddenly appeared before him and threw herself onto York.

The young girl wore a pale-purple magic robe. The hand holding her magic staff was covered by a white glove. Her face was exceptionally delicate and beautiful, pale skin shining in the sunlight, actually even more crystal-clear than jade. At that moment, the young girl's face was full of anger as she glared furiously at Li Junshan.

Searching his memories, Li Junshan recognized the young girl. She was York's daughter, Feixi, and also his elder cousin. Ever since Nicholas became aware of things, this Feixi had always been studying magic at the Imperial Magic Academy and had rarely stayed in Floro City. She and Nicholas had no real impression of or dealings with each other.

Ignoring Feixi's constant cries of "stop, let go, get away," another Xenomorph's tailbone swiftly extended and pierced York's other leg. The two Xenomorphs each retreated a step, pulling the obese York into the air.

"Feixi." Li Junshan looked at her coldly and said, "If you keep chanting that magic spell, I guarantee the next thing pierced will be those lips of yours, as lovely as flower petals."

"Outrageous!" Earl Ross, off to the side, finally could not watch any longer. His face livid, he shouted, "Seize this bastard!"

With a clatter, more than a hundred soldiers urged their snorting steeds forward, surrounding Li Junshan in an instant with practiced precision.

"Put York down," Ross said coldly. "Although I don't know how you became a summoner, or how you can summon three ferocious magical beasts, if you dare act so insolently in front of me again, I guarantee you'll be hacked into mincemeat on the spot."

"Oh, you were here too." Li Junshan turned his head as if he had only just noticed Ross, and said in surprise, "I'm just a child. Just now, I was nearly chopped into mincemeat by that Battle Master. Why didn't I see you tell him to stop?"

"You shameless little—" Earl Ross choked for a moment, then burst into abuse. Before he could finish, Li Junshan exploded.

"Bullshit." Li Junshan cursed furiously, "Just who the hell do you think you are, you old bastard? As an elder of the Harriman Family in Floro City, where the hell were you when I was kidnapped? Were you discussing with York how to make my father hand over his title? Shameless? You must be talking about yourself!"

"Bastard." Seeing the earl trembling all over with rage, a middle-aged man in splendid brocade robes hurriedly stepped out and shouted, "You ignorant brat, let me show you what a true great summoner is."

When they saw the middle-aged man step out, the soldiers encircling them quickly urged their warhorses back, opening up an empty ring several dozen meters wide.
