Background / History
The Federation governs the human political system in which the Soul Beast Clan is nominally a member. Despite ten thousand years of peaceful coexistence, it forcibly relocated the Soul Beast Clan from Douluo Home Planet to Elf Planet, where the clan remains under Federation surveillance. Elf Planet’s position near the hostile Dragon-Horse Twin Stars Demi-God Realm leaves the soul beasts exposed as a potential frontline buffer in a war. 1
The Federation also transferred any scattered soul beasts it located on Douluo Home Planet, including in the Far North, to Elf Planet after the clan’s migration. 6
Before Di Tian’s planned godhood tribulation, the Federation rejected his request to return to Douluo Home Planet. It instead sought to dispatch younger observers led by god-level powerhouses to Elf Planet, a demand Bi Ji regarded as treating a near-fatal tribulation like a spectacle. 1 Di Tian believed the Federation could not accept even the possibility of a long-lived True God-level soul beast king, though his transformation into a human would limit his lifespan and make him less threatening to human rule. 2
The Federation supported the establishment of the Federal Central Academy Elf Branch, funding the institution while Shrek Academy supplied teachers. Di Tian accepted the proposal because the branch would allow him to remain near the Soul Beast Clan after transforming, while avoiding the political consequences of joining Shrek Academy on Douluo Home Planet. 6
Governance and Forces
- Federal Council — The Federation’s highest political body. It convenes over Di Tian’s transformation and power, with internal factions advocating recruitment, inaction while he is killed by outside threats, or secretly obtaining his soul beast embryo. 23
- Federation Speaker — Supreme commander of Operation Ambush from All Sides, which mobilizes the Federation’s fleets against Tianlong Seat. 15
- War God Temple — A major Federation force that coordinates with Di Tian against Tianlong Seat; its First War God, Yu Muchen, serves as an important liaison. 13
- Dou Tian Department — A Federation department led by Qiangu Qingfeng, the Purgatory True God. Its Dark Division acts as the Federation’s covert “black glove,” handling sensitive and illicit affairs through agents that include evil Soul Masters. 27 60
- Federation Academy of Sciences — Operates a Tiandou Branch and is involved with Gu Yuena/Nana’s presence on Tiandou Planet. 17 29
- Federal Research Institute — Develops the Single Giant Mecha Project and Neural Bridge Synaesthesia Technology, seeking a method for ordinary people to operate giant mechas against god-level opponents. 47
- Federation Mainframe — The Federation’s central control system. It receives satellite-monitoring data, can remotely control giant-mecha formations within Federation territory, and contains emergency authority to cut a giant mech’s energy supply. 21 47 63
- Seven Great Fleets — The Federation’s principal naval forces, proposed for the hunt for Tianlong Seat. 13
Military and Technology
Fleet Warfare
The Federation can mobilize motherships, Dragon King-class frigates, stealth soul arrays, satellite surveillance, and linked divine-sense communications. 15 16
- Four motherships and their escort frigates combine their energy to deploy a cosmic-scale Warship Mecha. 16
- The fleet attack destroys Dragon Source Planet and annihilates half of Tianlong Seat’s body, though his divine consciousness escapes into a living star. 16
- The Tianlong battle is livestreamed throughout the Federation. 16
- The Federation later deploys ten Quasi-God-level giant mechas and several hundred Demi-God-level giant mechas for experiments in the Dangerous Starfield. The Federation Mainframe retains terminal control over the larger formation while it remains in range. 61 63
- When the Dangerous Starfield’s core disrupts the Federation Mainframe’s remote coordination, the Federation tests the giant mechas’ capacity for independent combat. 64
Tianlong Ship
After the battle with Tianlong Seat, the Federation cooperates with Ling Zichen to convert the remaining half of Tianlong’s father’s super-god-level corpse into the Tianlong Ship.
- Ling Zichen provides Ecological Warship technology.
- The Federation supplies rare-metal raw materials. 16
- Nine years after Tianlong Seat’s defeat, the Federation, Shrek Academy, and the Tang Sect complete the Tianlong Ship as the first mothership-class Ecological Warship. Its body is half flesh and half god-grade mechanical metal due to the incomplete corpse used in its construction. 63
- The Tianlong Ship serves as the mothership for Ecological Warship hive-cluster combat experiments, allowing other warships to receive neural-bridge commands and operate with reduced crew requirements. 64
Single Giant Mecha Project
The Federation’s Single Giant Mecha Project seeks to let synchronized pilots bear the neural burden of operating individual giant mechas, allowing mortal operators to contend with god-level enemies. Its principal obstacle was the instability of Neural Bridge Synaesthesia Technology, as ordinary synchronized pairs could not sustain the connection in combat. 45 47
- The project’s first giant mech, Universe Pioneer, is designed to reach Quasi-God-level combat power when piloted through a stable neural bridge. 45 48
- Di Tian’s 100%-compatible self Martial Soul Fusion Skill, Twin Dragon Kings, provides the Federation with a successful thought-sharing model and allows him to operate Universe Pioneer for prolonged combat. 47 48
- A Single Positive-Cycle Source Core supplied by Ling Zichen raises Universe Pioneer from Quasi-God level toward Peak Quasi-God level. 48
- Di Tian proposes merging the Federation’s giant-mecha research with Shrek Academy and Tang Sect research into Ecological Warship hive-cluster combat. He acts as an intermediary to facilitate the technological exchange. 47
- The Federation retains a Mainframe-controlled emergency cutoff intended to disable a giant mech if Di Tian acts against Federation interests. 47
- After three years of testing, Neural Bridge Synaesthesia Technology is perfected, while Di Tian obtains the core technology for Ecological Warship hive-cluster combat. 62
- The Federation grants Di Tian a second Quasi-God-level giant mech, Universe Starfarer, in return for his assistance with Neural Bridge Synaesthesia Technology. 61
Mechanical Calamity
Di Tian uses the neural-bridge and hive-cluster technologies developed through Federation-linked research to establish control over large numbers of mechanical creations. He privately prepares this capability as a contingency against Federation interference with his godhood tribulation. 47 62
During Di Tian’s godhood tribulation on Paradise Planet, a Mechanical Calamity disrupts the local city-defense forces as mechanical creations rebel and multiply, displaying patterns associated with Tang Sect Ecological Warships. 83 The mechanical army later supports Di Tian’s battle against Paradise Planet’s god-level opponents with unmanned vehicles, artillery, warships, and cosmic-warship firepower. 84
Universe Pioneer and Universe Starfarer subsequently fuse with Paradise Planet amid creation and chaos power. They become the independent entities White Queen and Red Queen, respectively, and serve as the Plane Lord and Life Core of the transformed planet. 88
Surveillance and Cybersecurity
The Federation monitors Elf Planet through satellites connected to a central mainframe. During the City of Sin’s assault, attackers temporarily cut this connection by hacking through seventy-two password-protected anti-theft walls; Federation hackers are expected to counterattack quickly. 21 22
The Federation’s low-orbit satellites also monitor Di Tian’s vital signs and movements. When his life signs disappear during his covert activity on Paradise Planet, the anomaly immediately alarms the Federation and prompts more than ten god-level and True God-level experts to investigate Elf Planet. 32 71 72
Relations with the Soul Beast Clan
The Federation recognizes the Soul Beast Clan as part of its system and receives substantial taxes from its production and trade in heavenly treasures and soul-beast materials. This economic interdependence secures the clan’s continued existence, but not equal treatment or a return to its homeland. 19
- Soul beasts voluntarily cultivate heavenly treasures and trade shed materials for Federation coins and soul devices. 19
- The Federation previously prevented Di Tian from returning to Douluo Home Planet for his tribulation. 1
- It later recognizes the soul beast and elven forces as Federation heroes after their defense of Elf Planet, awarding military merit for enemies killed. 27
- It accepts Di Tian’s demand to immediately establish and expand enrollment for the Federal Central Academy Elf Branch. 27
- Federation authorities accept Di Tian’s exorbitant 880,000 Federation Coin tourism fee for Elf Planet rather than openly oppose him. 29
- The Federation sends talents from the War God Temple, the Qiangu Clan, and other affiliated forces to Elf Planet, hoping they can establish influence over Di Tian before Shrek Academy and the Tang Sect do. 26 29
Political Strategy Regarding Di Tian
Following Di Tian’s growth, the Federation increasingly treats him as both an asset and a danger.
- The Federal Council concludes that only a True God has a high chance of surviving absorption of Di Tian’s soul beast embryo; lesser cultivators would likely die from its energy. 23
- Di Tian’s Seven-Character Battle Armor and Super-God Level Mecha are bloodline-bound and cannot be sealed by the Federation’s soul-device technology, preventing a safe seizure of his embryo. 23
- The Council fears that Di Tian’s million-year breakthrough could recreate an ancient human–soul beast conflict. 24
- Qiangu Qingfeng assesses that Di Tian’s spiritual immunity significantly restricts his own strongest abilities and admits that he is not confident of subduing Di Tian. 26
- The Federation plans to send talented youths to the Spirit Branch to compete with Shrek Academy and the Tang Sect for influence over Di Tian. 26
- Its long-term contingency is to restrict Di Tian during a future godhood tribulation, when he cannot freely revert to his million-year soul beast body. 26
- The Council later gives Di Tian one year to choose between Federation-backed candidates and the candidates aligned with Shrek Academy and the Tang Sect at the Elf Academy’s first Sea God’s Fate event. 67
- If Di Tian chooses Shrek Academy and the Tang Sect rather than the Federation, the Council plans to strike during his godhood tribulation, when it believes his transformed body will be unable to recover True God-level combat power. 67
- The Federation’s investigation into Di Tian’s vanished life signs accepts his explanation that he had lent power to Qian Lei through the Summoning Gate, unaware that Di Tian’s true body was concealed elsewhere. 71 72
