Background / History

Gu Yuena is the Silver Dragon King and former co-lord of the Soul Beast Clan. Unlike ordinary soul beasts, she is a divine dragon. Di Tian had served as her personal guard before she entered the ice, and had followed her plan for vengeance against humans and gods for many years. 2 19

Ten thousand years earlier, Gu Yuena fused the Dragon God's heart—the transcendent divine weapon known as the Dragon God Core—with her own heart. She also retained the Dragon God's nine-colored bloodline. 12

Before her memory loss, she had joined both Shrek Academy and the Tang Sect. Di Tian considers her deeply partial to humanity and resents that she left the Silver Dragon Spear with Shrek while he remained responsible for the Soul Beast Clan. 13 19

Di Tian and the Soul Beast Clan later cease recognizing Gu Yuena as their sovereign. Di Tian regards her love for Tang Wulin and her willingness to oppose any renewed struggle against humanity as proof that she has defected from the Soul Beast cause. 31
