Mu Xi grew up alongside Xu Yue after he came to live with the Mu family at age three. As Mu Chen and Yuan Bao'er's daughter, she treated Xu Yue as a younger brother, frequently teasing and physically dragging him along, while also being attentive to his feelings about his missing parents 1.

At the time of Xu Yue's martial soul awakening, Mu Xi was already a two-ring Great Soul Master and a first-rank blacksmith. Xu Yue's Eden's Star strengthened her Radiant Sun Martial Soul, giving her a persistent sense of attraction toward him and raising the prospect that her martial soul could evolve 1 3.

Her feelings became more complicated when Xu Xiaoyan developed a martial soul fusion skill with Xu Yue. Mu Xi reacted with jealousy and distress, but gradually acknowledged that her attachment to Xu Yue was more than ordinary sibling affection 11 12 13. Mu Xi is playful, assertive, and deeply protective of Xu Yue. She often teases him, acts spoiled around him, and proudly speaks of his potential, but immediately worries when he is injured, exhausted, or emotionally unsettled 1 8 9 29.

She is possessive and openly jealous of girls who grow close to Xu Yue, especially Xu Xiaoyan and Gu Yue. Although she initially struggles with these feelings, she eventually voices her worries directly and makes clear that she intends to remain part of Xu Yue's future 11 12 30 106.
