Personality

Shen Yi is proud of Shrek Academy and initially holds great confidence in its students’ superiority over the Skysea Alliance’s competitors. She considers the academy’s exhibition team capable of taking the tournament’s rewards and dismisses Wu Zhangkong’s warnings about the opposing Zero Class. 101 112

As a teacher, she is responsible and protective toward her students. She warns the exhibition team to represent Shrek’s dignity and avoid making the competition excessively ugly, though the soul bone prize leaves her unable to fully restrain Yu Tianxiao and the others’ ambition. 101 102 109 After Yu Tianxiao is seriously injured, her concern turns to fury, but she ultimately obeys Shrek’s recall order and withdraws the team. 130

Skysea Alliance Tournament

Shen Yi leads Shrek Academy’s exhibition team to the Skysea Alliance Tournament. She informs the students of the thirty-thousand-year soul bone awarded in the youth team competition, cautions them to preserve Shrek’s dignity, and initially assumes they will be unable to enter the official event. 101

When Shrek is approved to participate in the youth division, Shen Yi remains certain that the academy’s elite third-year students will dominate the competition. Wu Zhangkong warns her that the Skysea Alliance possesses exceptional talent, but she continues to place faith in Yu Tianxiao’s team. 109 112

Her view begins to change after Gu Yue and Xu Xiaoyan rapidly defeat the Rising Wave Team. She recognizes Gu Yue’s Elemental Envoy martial soul and admits that Gu Yue can threaten Shrek’s team, though she still expects the captain to be stronger. 115

Shen Yi later learns that Ye Xinglan lost to Xu Yue and gained sword intent under the pressure of his swordsmanship. She acknowledges the reality of Ye Xinglan’s breakthrough but receives only limited information about Xu Yue’s abilities. 123 124

During the final against Zero Class, Shen Yi realizes the severity of Xu Yue’s power when he reveals his fourth soul ring and begins using Brilliant as Blazing Sun. She equips her battle armor and attempts to stop him, but cannot prevent Yu Tianxiao’s defeat and severe injuries. 128 130

Afterward, Shen Yi angrily confronts Xu Yue over the extent of Yu Tianxiao’s injuries. Xu Yue counters by accusing her of improperly entering an ongoing match; before the confrontation can escalate further, Zhuoshi orders her to return to Shrek. Shen Yi withdraws with the injured Shrek team, and Shrek subsequently surrenders the match. 130

Shrek Academy Instructor

Shen Yi later serves as Xu Yue’s instructor after his arrival at Shrek Academy. She is visibly surprised to see him join her classroom, then asks him to introduce himself to the class. 171

Following Xu Yue’s return from an absence, Shen Yi restarts the class committee selection. She declares that Shrek selects its class leaders through strength and organizes a Grand Arena battle to determine the class president and vice presidents. 186
