The healing Soul Master's hand still rested against Huo Wu's lower abdomen, but cold sweat had already beaded on her brow.
"Less than ten percent of her Flame Origin remains, and more than half her Soul Power is gone. Get her to the treatment room now. Any delay could damage the foundation of her Martial Soul!"
Huo Wushuang held his sister tight and turned to leave.
Feng Xiaotian blocked the passage. His gaze shifted from Huo Wu's pale face to Tang San in the center of the arena, and his fists clenched until his knuckles cracked.
"Move!"
Huo Wushuang growled.
"I won't stop you from taking her for treatment." Feng Xiaotian stepped aside, but his voice sank. "But this can't end here."
Huo Wushuang stopped.
"She used Ring Fusion. Getting hurt like this was her own choice."
"I know."
Feng Xiaotian looked at Huo Wu on the stretcher. His fingers slowly loosened, then curled tight again.
"But she put her life on the line. Tang San took that attack without so much as a scratch. Tell me, is that normal?"
Huo Wushuang did not answer.
He had checked Huo Wu's meridians himself. Her Soul Power was indeed in chaos, but the Flame Origin sustaining her Fire Shadow Martial Soul kept dwindling. Even her Soul Rings were affected.
He had never seen an injury like it.
"Save her first." Huo Wushuang gritted his teeth. "We'll talk when Huo Wu wakes up."
Feng Xiaotian stared at Tang San, but finally stepped aside.
In Shrek Academy's rest area, Tang San had barely left the arena when Xiao Wu seized his wrist.
"Brother, are you really unhurt?"
"I am."
Tang San raised both arms and let Xiao Wu examine him from head to toe.
His clothes had been burned through, but his skin showed
