Xiao Wu enters Notting Academy as a work-study student and meets Tang San in Seventh Dormitory. After Tang San becomes dorm boss by defeating Wang Sheng, Xiao Wu defeats Tang San and takes the position herself; their contests establish mutual recognition rather than hostility. 3

Her concealed soul-beast origin repeatedly draws Ji Yuan’s attention. Ji Yuan identifies the aura transmitted through spores on her braid and comb as a hundred-thousand-year origin, but delays fully devouring it to avoid alerting her. 6 12

After Tang San returns injured and weakened from Soul Hunting Forest, Xiao Wu becomes increasingly vigilant over him. She refuses to leave while Yu Xiaogang examines him, volunteers to stop him from cultivating recklessly, and later remains beside him at night. 13 21
