Li Xueran first appears as “Miss Liu,” Tang Leiyue’s seemingly pampered new concubine. She breaks into Tang Leiyue’s study to steal an item, where Qin Yao catches her; their confrontation reveals that she possesses concealed martial skill rather than being an ordinary concubine. 78

Before arriving in the secular world, Li Xueran came from the cultivation world. A realmstorm caused her to fall into the mortal realm and severely reduced her cultivation, leaving her to survive through disguises, theft, and swindling while attempting to recover her former strength. 99 110 145

She later joins the Snow Pine Caravan under further disguises, including those of a noblewoman and a clerk. She recognizes Qin Yao as the man who foiled her theft in Tang Village and becomes determined to probe his concealed identity and abilities. 89 93
