Angel's Judgment

Silver-white light descended, directly touching Beerus's destructive energy, powerful enough to annihilate all laws.

That violent purple abyss had seemed ready to devour everything, but now it was as though an invisible hand were gently smoothing it over.

The urge to destroy rapidly faded within the silver light, diluted like a raging sea turning into a tame stream. In the end, only scattered purple glimmers remained, silently vanishing away.

At the same time, the light swept over Broly's wildly erupting Super Saiyan power.

That emerald torrent of energy roared and struggled as though alive, but the instant it struck the silver light, it was like crashing into an absolutely motionless wall.

The green flames immediately dimmed and contracted. All their fury and savagery were drained away, leaving only the most primal trace of energy, which was soon embraced and dissolved by the silver light as well.

There was no thunderous sound, no explosion, and no residual energy waves.

Not even the faintest ripple remained.

The two terrifying forces that moments ago could have erased Vampa, even the entire star system, from the universe were so lightly "wiped away" by the silver halo.

Like erasing pencil marks with a rubber, or washing drawings from sand with clear water.

Clean and decisive, so complete that it was as though they had never existed.

Silence.

A deathly stillness blanketed the wilderness.

Broly's bare feet were still planted on the scorching lava, which had not yet fully cooled.

Slowly, he lowered his head and looked at his hands.

The emerald sparks that had been surging in his palms moments ago had vanished without a trace.

He abruptly looked up. His wild eyes, transformed by his state, had pupils contracted to pinpoints.

His senses—the instinctive intuition for energy unique to a Super Saiyan—were frantically warning him.

Just now, he had clearly "seen" the total amount of those two energies: terrifying destruction capable of detonating the core of the sun, with a chain reaction that could spread across several light-years of space.

The sheer scale was far beyond anything that could be "offset" or "neutralized." That power had to be released, had to erupt—it was a cosmic disaster.

But Whis? He had merely turned his staff casually, even elegantly.

And the disaster had been treated as something that had "never happened."

It was not resistance, suppression, or crushing it with greater power.

Instead... he had lightly rewritten the foundations of reality from a higher level.

The two destructive forces that had already erupted were defined as "nonexistent" beneath his hand.

This was an Angel.

A supreme existence standing above the God of Destruction, truly maintaining the balance of the universe.

"Enough."

Whis's voice suddenly rang out, calm as a deep pool, without the slightest emotional fluctuation, yet carrying unquestionable authority.

It was not loud, but it was clearer than the howling wind across the wilderness, striking directly into Beerus and Broly's minds.

Beerus froze in place, still holding the posture of preparing to unleash his energy.

His purple face twitched slightly. His catlike vertical pupils were filled with astonishment, unwillingness, and rage on the verge of erupting after his fighting spirit had been forcibly cut short.

"Whis!" he ground out through clenched teeth, his voice carrying the God of Destruction's distinctive hoarseness and ferocity. "I haven't—!"

"Had enough?" Whis tilted his head slightly, his silver-white hair gently swaying in the air.

That inscrutable smile returned to his lips, but his pale violet eyes were cold as blades. His gaze settled precisely on Beerus, devoid of any amusement.

"Lord Beerus, why don't you sense the spatial structure of this region?" His staff lightly touched the ground.

Bzzzt— A ring of silver ripples instantly spread from him, nearly invisible, yet sweeping across the entire planet and even farther beyond.

Beerus's expression tightened.

He sensed it at once—centered on Vampa, the space spanning several astronomical units around it was covered in fine, spiderweb-like cracks.

Those cracks were extremely unstable, like rubber bands stretched to their limit, ready to snap with the slightest additional force.

"If you continue fighting," Whis said evenly, though every word bore down like crushing pressure, "this place will not merely be 'destroyed.' The entire spatial structure will 'collapse.' Not even fragments will remain; it will become nothing but primordial energy turbulence, spreading into the surrounding star systems."

As he spoke, his gaze slowly shifted toward Broly in the distance like a turning galaxy.

"And," Whis lowered his voice, making it seem even clearer, "Lord Beerus, haven't you noticed? Even though Mr. Broly's energy was interrupted just now, its total amount has not decreased at all. Instead, it is still slowly... rising."

Broly's body trembled slightly, almost imperceptibly.

Whis stared at him as though he could see every flow of energy within his body. "If this continues, under extreme pressure, the legendary Saiyan power within Broly may very well break through its current limits. You know better than I do what that would mean."

The anger on Beerus's face gradually stiffened, slowly giving way to grave solemnity.

Of course he knew. That was the threshold for a qualitative transformation in power, something even ordinary Gods of Destruction found difficult to control completely and had to treat with exceptional caution.

If Broly broke through while out of control, it would not merely cause simple physical destruction.

It would directly shake the balance of some of Universe 7's most fundamental laws. The resulting chain reactions and cost of repair would be unimaginable.

"...Hmph." Only after a long while did Beerus finally snort heavily through his nose.

The purple destructive energy around him rapidly receded like the tide, withdrawing back into his body.

He folded his arms and turned his face away. Most of the fighting spirit in his eyes had faded, leaving only his usual arrogance and a barely noticeable trace of pent-up frustration.

"You got lucky today, wild monkey."

On the other side, Broly took a deep breath.

The sound was especially clear in the wilderness, as though he intended to draw every last bit of energy and emotion back into himself.

With his breath, the emerald-green aura around him completely extinguished, as if it had never appeared.

His swollen muscles gradually shrank, the bulging veins sank beneath his skin, and his terrifying height slowly returned to normal.
