Freedom Contract

He withdrew his gaze and looked straight at the two gods, his voice resolute. "After the Tournament of Power ends, whether Universe 7 still exists or not, whether I win or lose, my fate is mine alone to decide. I won't become any god's vassal, won't sell my life to any faction, and certainly won't be anyone's pawn. What I want is absolute freedom."

Whis did not respond immediately.

He tilted his head slightly, as though listening to something deep within the universe, or perhaps weighing the matter in his heart.

A moment later, his usual elegant smile returned to his lips, even more pronounced than before.

"Of course," he said brightly. "The Tournament of Power is meant for competition and selection, not to make anyone submit. Afterward, where you go and how you live will be entirely up to you. I can promise you that on Lord Beerus's behalf."

"Deal."

Broly said nothing more. He stepped forward and extended the massive hand that had once crushed stars—and once helplessly beaten against the walls of a cage.

Whis smiled and extended his hand as well.

His hand was slender and fair, utterly different from Broly's large, scar-covered palm.

The two hands clasped lightly in midair. There was no imposing aura, no clash of power, yet that simple gesture somehow felt more formal than anything else.

Beerus stood nearby with his arms folded, letting out a derisive snort. "What a pointless display. Nothing but a waste of time."

He waved impatiently, as if trying to swat the whole scene away like a fly.

"Enough. You've said your piece and shaken hands, so get moving! Next stop, Earth!"

"Yes, Lord Beerus."

Whis gave an elegant bow and raised the Angel Staff in his hand.

He did not exert much force. He merely tapped the tip of the staff lightly against the void ahead.

Sss—

A thread of silver-white light blossomed from the staff's tip, like a pebble falling into a still lake.

The light rapidly spread and spun, as though space itself had been torn open, revealing a stable circular passage rimmed with a soft flowing glow.

Within the passage, light and shadows shifted like countless tiny starlights swirling into a vortex.

At the far end of that vortex, an image gradually came into focus—a blue planet wrapped in white clouds, with the outlines of oceans and continents faintly visible through the light.

A vibrant, life-filled presence, utterly unlike Vampa's deathly stillness, seemed to drift through the passage toward them.

Without the slightest hesitation, Beerus strode forward in his distinctive gait. He was the first to enter the silver-white corridor, swallowed by the light in the blink of an eye.

Broly lowered his head and took one final look at the land beneath his feet—the reddish-brown earth of Vampa.

Then he raised his head and followed Beerus with steady steps, walking toward the passage.

Just as his body was about to vanish entirely into the light, he suddenly paused, turned his head, and looked back.

Behind him, where was Vampa now? The planet that had accompanied him—and imprisoned him—for forty-one years had long since disappeared.

Before his eyes lay only empty darkness, with scattered bits of cold, silent cosmic dust and shattered rock drifting slowly in circles, as though singing a wordless elegy for the vanished planet.

That natural prison had finally become history, annihilated within the boundless universe.

He drew in a deep breath. Though there was no real air here, the gesture felt more like a ritual of farewell to the past.

Then he turned around and disappeared completely into the silver-white radiance.

Still smiling, Whis followed him in quietly.

The moment he entered, the silver gate that had torn through space slowly closed, receding like the tide and leaving the last traces of Vampa's existence—its scattered dust and wreckage—forever in the depths of that cold, silent universe.

And at the other end of the passage, a brand-new world filled with limitless possibilities and unknown challenges was waiting for Broly to cross into.
