Majin Buu

A day later, Gogeta and the others emerged from the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, and all of them had improved greatly.

First was young Gohan. His battle power had reached thirty thousand, and his foundation was solid. He was no longer as timid as before, too afraid to fight.

However, Gohan's mindset had yet to change. Perhaps it was due to Chi-Chi's upbringing, or perhaps it was simply his nature, but Gohan was far too kind. That was not a good habit in battle. Only after suffering setbacks in the future would he be able to change on his own.

It was worth mentioning that young Gohan's tail had grown back during training.

Future Gohan did not have that problem. After fighting the androids for so many years, he had long since forged an unshakable conviction.

Future Gohan's battle power had already reached the late stage of Super Saiyan 2, just short of the peak.

In comparison, Trunks lagged somewhat behind. He had only just begun to master the Super Saiyan 2 transformation, but that was already impressive. Not everyone could compare with Gohan. Gohan's potential was immense; only Broly could rival him.

Just before leaving, Vegeta successfully transformed into Super Saiyan 3, barely catching up to Son Goku.

Son Goku, meanwhile, had reached Full Power Super Saiyan 3. He had overcome Super Saiyan 3's energy leakage and enormous stamina consumption. It had to be said that Son Goku truly was a genius—he always found a way.

Gogeta had perfectly mastered Super Saiyan 4 and reached Full Power Super Saiyan 4, the state Son Goku attained in the anime after absorbing the Saiyan energy of Gohan, Goten, and the others.

After they came out, Mr. Popo had already prepared a lavish feast. Once everyone had enjoyed the meal, they returned to West City.

West City was still a field of ruins, but people had already begun rebuilding it. It would surely regain its former prosperity before long.

Bulma was still researching the time machine. Tights had gone out and had yet to return, leaving only Master Roshi and the others there.

After Gogeta and the others returned, they began discussing their future plans. Master Roshi spoke first.

"Given the current situation, we've decided to promote martial arts on Earth. We need Earthlings to know about martial arts and practice them, passing them down from generation to generation. That way, when enemies appear in the future, there will still be hope. Rather than like now, where we have to rely on Gohan and Trunks while everyone else can only barely survive without seeing even a trace of hope."

"But how are we supposed to develop it?" Future Gohan asked the crucial question.

"With the king's support, and through the World Martial Arts Tournament. Several of us have taken first place before, and Son Goku defeated Demon King Piccolo and saved the world. We can also use Bulma's family's Capsule Corporation. We'll build up our reputation through all of that, then open martial arts schools and find people with good character and talent to teach them martial arts."

Krillin laid out the general plan.

Teaching was best left to Master Roshi and the others. Saiyans only knew how to fight. If they were asked to teach these newcomers, they would probably explode on the spot.

At that moment, Gogeta walked over to Chi-Chi and said, "When we go back, you could have Son Goku open a martial arts school or something. There are still people in that era who know him. He can train while making money. I'm sure Son Goku won't refuse. Didn't you have Gohan study so he could make more money anyway?"

When Chi-Chi heard that, she thought it made some sense and nodded.

A few more days passed. The whole world now knew that the androids had been defeated. The world had entered the reconstruction stage, and in another month or two, it would likely recover to the level it had been at before the androids appeared. The population was still rather low, though, and that could only recover with time.

Tights had also returned. She had learned most of this world's history and was now organizing her materials in preparation for future writing.

But as soon as she returned, Gogeta stuck to her side. Counting the time in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, he had not seen his girlfriend for a year. Now, he wished he could spend every moment clinging to her.

Tights could only put aside her work and keep Gogeta company.

Gogeta's life had been quite satisfying these past few days. Tights was with him during the day, and Tights was with him at night too. Heh heh.

One day, beside the swimming pool, Gogeta lay with his head on Tights's lap, opening his mouth as he waited for her to feed him fruit.

Suddenly, Gogeta sensed an enormous and utterly evil ki appearing somewhere on Earth. The others sensed it as well and all rose to their feet.

"What an evil presence!! And it's terrifyingly powerful!!"

"A new enemy?"

"It hasn't even been that long since the androids!"

Cold sweat ran down everyone's faces.

"The androids don't even compare. They aren't on the same level."

Piccolo explained.

"Let's go take a look and see what it is."

Gogeta stood up.

That ki was indeed powerful, far stronger than Super Saiyan 3 Son Goku, but Gogeta could handle it with one hand.

The group flew in force toward the source of that ki.

Elsewhere, somewhere on Earth, a spatial vortex suddenly appeared. Then a person crawled out from it. He had pink skin, and something resembling a tentacle grew from his head, hanging to about his waist. He wore something similar to Son Goku's upper garment.

As soon as he emerged, he looked around and saw nothing but craters and devastation everywhere.

"Could this world have been destroyed like this by me too?"

"That's not right. If I had destroyed it, there couldn't possibly be so many people still alive on Earth."

In Majin Buu's perception, there were still many humans on Earth, and the ki of the Earth's warriors was still present. Son Goku and Vegeta's ki was about the same as those in his own world, though Son Gohan was not as strong as the Gohan in his world.

However, Buu had no intention of looking for them. He planned to first find the egg that sealed Majin Buu in this world and absorb him. Perhaps that would make him even stronger.

"He's moving!!"

"At that speed, he's so fast!!"

"Where was he going?"

Several of them flared their ki and followed after him.

The group tracked him to the edge of a mountain range, where Buu's ki had stopped within the mountains.

Before Buu stood an egg—the egg that sealed Majin Buu in this world.

Buu stretched out his hand and poured energy into the egg.

At that moment, Gogeta and the others arrived as well. Gogeta recognized Majin Buu at a glance. He had originally thought it was Janemba, but it turned out to be Majin Buu. The egg beside this Buu was apparently the Buu of this world. That meant this Buu had come from another world.

Seeing Gogeta and the others arrive, Buu stopped injecting energy. He turned to look at them and smiled.

"You got here pretty fast."

Buu's gaze swept across the group. When he saw Gogeta, his pupils contracted. This man gave him a very bad feeling.

In Buu's world, Goku and Vegeta had never fused into Vegito. Goku had been absorbed by Buu before Vegeta could arrive. When Vegeta arrived afterward, he too met the same fate and was absorbed. Thus, Buu did not recognize Gogeta, who looked just like Vegito. He only knew that Gogeta felt extremely dangerous.
