Releasing the Old Supreme Kai

Supreme Kai Shin and Kibito followed the three little ones to West City.

Gogeta was sparring with Goku, Vegeta, and Broly. Facing all three alone, Gogeta felt no pressure at all.

In his base form, Gogeta stood with his arms folded across his chest, effortlessly dodging the three men's attacks.

"Damn it!"

Vegeta, that hothead, attacked with all his might, yet failed to land a single hit on Gogeta.

Goku, on the other hand, praised him.

"Gogeta, you're still as strong as ever!"

Ever since meeting Gogeta, Goku had trained hard. Though he had grown much stronger over the years, facing Gogeta still felt the same as before—he was defeated in an instant.

Broly remained silent, staring intently at Gogeta as he tried to make out his movements.

Seeing that his daughter had returned, Gogeta stopped fighting. He walked over, scooped her up, and gave her a kiss.

"So, was the World Martial Arts Tournament fun?"

Ais pointed at the Supreme Kai and said, "It was fun! It was so lively and interesting there. But a bad guy hurt Sister Videl, so I taught him a lesson."

"Then we met this weird uncle, and we defeated the bad guy together."

Gogeta had noticed Supreme Kai Shin long ago. Sigh, he did not know what to say about this guy. Better leave the education to his ancestor.

Just then, the other Buu—let's call him Mr. Buu—walked out carrying a plate of pudding, eating as he went. Suddenly, he spotted the other Buu. Thinking someone had transformed into him to hurt his friends, he immediately became wary.

"Who are you?"

Mr. Buu questioned Buu angrily.

Trunks and Goten pulled Mr. Buu aside and explained things to him.

After hearing Goten and Trunks's explanation, Mr. Buu returned to his usual goofy self and handed the pudding in his hand to Buu.

"This is really tasty."

Buu picked one up and tossed it into his mouth.

"It really is!"

Buu was delighted.

"Let's go eat some snacks!"

Trunks said to the two Buus and Goten.

"I want to go too!"

Ais jumped out of Gogeta's arms and followed them.

Gogeta walked over to Buu and reminded him not to use his power carelessly. If he caused trouble, Gogeta would teach him a harsh lesson.

Mr. Buu was clearly somewhat afraid of Gogeta and shifted his body back a little.

Supreme Kai Shin saw this scene, and now he believed what Gohan had said. This Gogeta really was powerful—even Buu feared him.

"Alright, Dad, stop scaring Buu."

Ais grabbed Gogeta's pants and tugged at them, telling him to leave. Every time Buu saw Gogeta, he was terrified. It seemed Gogeta had been pretty rough on him.

The three little ones and the two Buus went to the dining room, leaving behind Supreme Kai Shin and Kibito.

At this moment, Supreme Kai Shin and Kibito were somewhat uneasy. The man before them was someone even Buu feared. If he got unhappy and killed the two of them, they would have nowhere to seek justice.

"Don't be so nervous. It's not like I'm some murderous maniac."

Then Gogeta, Goku, and the Supreme Kai began chatting. Gogeta said that he had encountered Supreme Kais in other timelines as well, and they were just like this one, constantly chasing after Babidi and Majin Buu.

Hearing this, Supreme Kai Shin said, "Majin Buu really is terrifying!"

Goku agreed as well.

"That's right. Buu really is powerful. Even now, I'm not confident I could beat him."

Buu could grow stronger too. By the time of the Tournament of Power in the original story, Buu was able to suppress Goku in his base form, and Goku himself had said that Buu had improved greatly and become stronger. That Buu had only been Buu's good half, let alone the complete Buu here.

Vegito, however, shook his head and said, "Your horizons are too narrow. You haven't seen truly powerful people. What does Buu amount to? There are plenty of people who can rival me, or are even stronger than me."

To say nothing else, he could not defeat the twelve angels. As for the Gods of Destruction, Gogeta should be able to handle them now, and winning was not impossible. He could probably defeat the weakest God of Destruction, though someone like Beerus was another matter. Unless Gogeta's Ultra Instinct rose to another level, he would only then be able to defeat Beerus.

"There are people stronger than Gogeta? I always thought Gogeta was the strongest in the universe!"

The moment Goku heard that, he became excited. So there were so many powerful people out there.

Vegeta said nothing, but he clenched his fists, his heart far from calm.

"You're a Supreme Kai, yet you don't even know about the Gods of Destruction. You don't even understand a Supreme Kai's responsibilities. Your ancestor needs to give you a proper education."

Gogeta pointed at the Supreme Kai as he spoke.

The Supreme Kai was completely bewildered. What was a God of Destruction? What were the Supreme Kai's responsibilities? He had no idea at all. And his ancestor? There were only Kibito and himself on the Supreme Kai World—where was this ancestor supposed to have come from?

Seeing the Supreme Kai's baffled expression, Gogeta continued, "Your ancestor is sealed inside that sword embedded in the Supreme Kai World. Break the sword, and he'll be released."

"Which one of you wants to go over and help him sort it out?"

Goku was quite interested and took on the job. Vegeta and Broly went along as well.

Kibito brought the four of them to the Supreme Kai World. Then Goku pulled out the Supreme Kai Sword and released Old Supreme Kai.

After meeting his ancestor, the Supreme Kai asked what a Supreme Kai's responsibilities were, and what a God of Destruction was.

Old Supreme Kai was so enraged that he nearly ascended to heaven on the spot, furiously cursing this ignorant descendant.

But after learning the truth, his anger faded. This descendant couldn't be blamed. At the same time, he felt fortunate that the kid had not gotten himself killed fooling around outside, or there would have been a huge problem.

Such an unpromising descendant!

When Old Supreme Kai caught sight of Broly from the corner of his eye, he immediately decided to help Broly unlock his potential. He could see the immense power hidden within Broly, and wanted to repay Goku for freeing him.

Goku stopped Old Supreme Kai, saying that if Broly's strength increased too quickly, he might lose control, and they would not be able to stop him.

Then he asked whether his and Vegeta's potential could be unlocked instead.

Old Supreme Kai merely said that the two of them did not have much potential, enraging Vegeta so much that he nearly struck him on the spot. What did he mean, they had no potential? He was going to show this old man just how formidable he was.

Fortunately, Goku held him back. Otherwise, Old Supreme Kai would have been doomed.

Seeing that there was nothing else to do, Goku, Broly, and Vegeta returned to Earth, while Old Supreme Kai took the Supreme Kai off to class.

Poor Supreme Kai. He had already become a god, yet he still had to attend class.

After the three returned to Earth, they continued training. But Goku said, "Training like this is so slow, Vegeta. How about we ask Gogeta if he has any good ways to get stronger? Piccolo told me that Gogeta once trained his Super Saiyan 4 transformation in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber!"

When Vegeta heard "Super Saiyan 4," his eyes widened as he cursed Goku, "Damn it, Kakarot! Why are you only telling me this now?"

"I only remembered what Piccolo said about Super Saiyan 4 when Gogeta mentioned someone stronger. Sorry."

Goku answered weakly.

Vegeta ignored Goku and hurried off to find Gogeta. This time, he would become a Super Saiyan 4 before Kakarot did, then crush Kakarot completely. Vegeta could practically see Kakarot lying at his feet.
