Dragon Ball World.
Age 737, Planet Vegeta.
A child dressed in Saiyan battle armor, no more than three or four years old, sat on a large rock with a troubled look on his face.
His name was Roger, and he was the son of a low-class Saiyan warrior.
However, he was no ordinary Saiyan. He was a transmigrator.
Not long ago, Roger had been at home playing Honor of Kings when, for some unknown reason, he transmigrated into a Saiyan with the same name as himself.
After transmigrating, Roger quickly inherited the original owner's memories and learned that this was the Dragon Ball World.
Vegeta was now five years old, and before long, Planet Vegeta should be destroyed by Frieza.
"Damn it, starting out on Hell difficulty? Is Heaven screwing with me on purpose, sending me here to die?"
Roger cursed at the sky.
As soon as he spoke, an aged voice suddenly rang out beside his ear.
"Welcome to the Dragon Ball World. To welcome your arrival, you will receive heaven-defying comprehension!"
"Heaven-defying comprehension?"
"Yes!"
"So what exactly does that do?"
Roger asked.
"You'll have to comprehend it yourself!"
"Then how am I supposed to comprehend it?"
The aged voice did not answer again.
"Hey!"
Roger called out once more.
After confirming that the voice would not respond, Roger fell silent and began to think.
"Heaven-defying comprehension? Does that mean the kind of comprehension where I can understand anything after learning it once?"
As he spoke, Roger could not help thinking of Li Xiaoyao from Chinese Paladin 1. With a single glance at someone's swordsmanship, he could immediately learn it, a true martial arts prodigy.
Heaven-defying comprehension should be even stronger than a martial arts prodigy, right?
With that thought, Roger immediately raised his head toward the sky.
The moment he looked up, he discovered that his eyes could see the wind—the white wind, as well as the paths it traced through the sky.
"This is..."
Watching the howling gale in the sky, Roger immediately focused his full attention on it.
After a long while, Roger flicked his right hand upward, and a small whirlwind immediately appeared in his palm.
This was the Wind Manipulation Technique Roger had just comprehended through observing the wind.
Roger looked at the whirlwind in his hand and raised his right hand. The whirlwind immediately vanished.
"Could this be heaven-defying comprehension?"
Roger muttered to himself.
Then, Roger observed the sun for a moment and condensed a fiery red fireball in his right hand.
The fireball in Roger's hand differed from ordinary energy. It had been formed by drawing in the surrounding heat and sunlight.
That was why the fireball in his hand was so hot.
"Phew... that's hot!"
Roger threw the fireball he had condensed onto the ground.
"If I really possess heaven-defying comprehension, then I should be able to create Instant Transmission, right?"
Roger's current battle power was only a little over three hundred. If he wanted to leave Planet Vegeta without being noticed, he could only find a way to master Instant Transmission.
Thinking of this, Roger immediately tried to see whether he could create Instant Transmission.
After a long while, Roger learned to control ki, but he still failed to create Instant Transmission.
Although Roger had watched the Dragon Ball anime, Instant Transmission was not as easy to master as he had imagined.
Son Goku had spent nearly a year learning Instant Transmission.
"Looks like I oversimplified things!"
As Roger spoke, he immediately used the Flying Technique and flew toward the Saiyan main city.
Ten minutes later, Roger arrived at the Saiyan main city.
The Saiyan main city was the most prosperous city on Planet Vegeta, and King Vegeta's palace was located within it.
Since most Saiyans had been dispatched to other planets to carry out missions, not many Saiyans lived here.
After arriving in the main city, Roger used Planet Vegeta's currency to buy some food, then headed to the Saiyan spaceship launch facility.
"Who are you?"
A thin man asked Roger.
The man was named Bass, a staff member here.
"Hello, my name is Roger!"
"Roger?"
Roger nodded.
"I want to take on a mission. Are there any planets that need to be conquered recently?"
Bass looked Roger over.
"Roger, what's your battle power?"
"305!"
"305 is a little low!"
"Even a relatively remote planet would be fine!"
"I'm afraid that won't work. Lord Frieza recently ordered all Saiyans fighting abroad to return to Planet Vegeta!"
Roger said, "Return to Planet Vegeta?"
"Yes, perhaps there are some orders to be issued!"
"So you can only form a team with others and see if there are any missions being carried out recently. It's a pity your battle power is a little too low, or else you could join Prince Vegeta's squad."
"Prince Vegeta!"
"Yes, Prince Vegeta is a genius among the Saiyans. Although he's only five years old, his battle power is already 8,000!"
"In that case, I'd better stay on Planet Vegeta for now!"
With that, Roger turned and left the Saiyan spaceship launch facility.
Bass was not surprised by this.
Roger was already four years old, yet his battle power was only 305. His potential for growth was limited, and King Vegeta would surely assign him to some difficult planets to conquer in the future.
But if he volunteered for an assignment, he could choose planets that were easier to conquer.
After returning to the main city, Roger asked some Saiyans he knew about Frieza summoning the Saiyans back.
After making inquiries, he learned that Frieza wanted all Saiyans fighting abroad to return to Planet Vegeta within two months.
"Two months left!"
Roger muttered to himself and looked up at the sky.
Originally, Roger had wanted to use a mission as an excuse to leave Planet Vegeta and head to Planet Yardrat.
Now, it seemed that plan would not work.
He now had two choices. The first was to follow Vegeta.
Vegeta would survive the destruction of Planet Vegeta.
The second choice was to steal a Saiyan spaceship and leave Planet Vegeta.
Neither option would be easy.
To follow Vegeta, he would first have to join Vegeta's squad.
As the Saiyan prince, how could just anyone join Vegeta's squad?
Take Son Goku's older brother Raditz, for example. Though Raditz only had a battle power of 1,500 when he appeared, he was still an upper-class warrior among the Saiyans.
Even the current Raditz had a battle power of 800.
The reason he seemed weak in Dragon Ball was simply because his opponents were far too strong.
After thinking it over carefully, Roger ultimately decided to steal a spaceship and leave Planet Vegeta.
Although the second option was riskier, it offered greater prospects for the future.
However, Roger's battle power was too low right now. He still needed to improve his strength before stealing a spaceship.
Having made up his mind, Roger immediately went to the main city and bought some iron equipment for training.
Planet Vegeta's gravity was ten times that of Earth, so even without a gravity chamber, training under Planet Vegeta's gravity should still be faster than ordinary training.
Moreover, every time a Saiyan survived the brink of death, their battle power would double.
So he could make good use of that to further increase his strength.
