Planet Vegeta's Destruction

King Vegeta's rebellion had failed, and he was executed by Frieza. For allowing another Saiyan spaceship to escape Planet Vegeta, a soldier responsible for the defenses was also dealt with.

"Lord Frieza, should we send someone to pursue that spaceship?"

Dodoria asked Frieza.

"No need. It's only a baby with a power level of 2 anyway!"

"Yes, Lord Frieza!"

Frieza nodded.

"The Saiyans should all be back in five days, right?"

"Yes, Lord Frieza!"

Upon hearing this, Frieza chuckled.

"Those Saiyans probably never imagined that five days from now would be the day they die!"

"Yes, Lord Frieza!"

Above Planet Yardrat.

At that moment, a white, round pod-like spaceship was rapidly descending toward Planet Yardrat.

This spaceship was the Saiyan spacecraft Roger had been riding in.

With a thunderous boom, Roger's spaceship crashed heavily into the ground, creating a sizable crater.

Because of the intense friction with the atmosphere, wisps of black smoke rose from the spaceship.

"Open..."

With a soft click, Roger opened the spaceship and stepped out.

Roger glanced around the crater, then quickly flew out of it and landed on the ground.

The moment he reached the ground, Roger saw many Yadratians staring at him. Their skin was red and covered in spots, and they wore strange, unusual clothing.

"Uh... hello?"

Looking somewhat awkward, Roger greeted the Yadratians.

This was his first time seeing aliens—and he had encountered so many of them all at once.

"Jibber jabber..."

A Yardratian replied in a language he could not understand.

"..."

Roger was speechless.

They actually couldn't communicate.

Wasn't it said that the entire universe spoke Earth language? So it had all been a lie.

Left with no choice, Roger could only communicate with them through sign language.

Earth language might not be universal throughout the cosmos, but sign language was.

Since Roger had concealed his ki and posed no threat to the Yadratians, they did not regard him as an enemy.

Through their exchange, Roger conveyed that he had merely come here to seek refuge and had no ill intent.

After learning that Roger meant no harm, the Yadratians allowed him to remain on the planet.

"Grrr..."

Roger's stomach suddenly began to growl.

"Um, do you have anything to eat?"

As he spoke, Roger gestured to the Yadratians.

The Yadratians immediately understood his gestures and brought out a huge pile of food for him.

And so, Roger settled down on Planet Yardrat.

Five days later.

Above Planet Vegeta.

Frieza's spaceship and his army appeared above Planet Vegeta, completely surrounding it.

Frieza sat in a hovering chair, swirling a wineglass filled one-third of the way with red wine in his right hand as he looked down at Planet Vegeta below.

"What a beautiful planet. It's a pity that in just a few hours, it will disappear from the universe."

"Yes."

Zarbon said.

Three hours later, Dodoria, who had been carrying out a mission, returned.

"Lord Frieza!"

Dodoria bowed to Frieza.

Frieza nodded.

"How did it go?"

"I followed your instructions and took care of that squad!"

No sooner had he finished speaking than a soldier rushed in from outside.

"Greetings, Lord Frieza!"

"What is it?"

"A Saiyan spacecraft just left Planet Milu and is currently heading toward Planet Vegeta."

"Th-That's impossible!"

Upon hearing this, Dodoria immediately broke out in a cold sweat.

Though Frieza said nothing, his expression suddenly became incomparably serious.

Seeing this, Dodoria immediately dropped to his knees.

"Lord Frieza, please give me one more chance! This time, I absolutely won't fail again!"

"There's no need. That Saiyan is heading back to Planet Vegeta anyway, isn't he?"

The corners of Frieza's lips curled upward slightly as he revealed a faint smile.

"Planet Vegeta?"

"Dodoria, Zarbon, how would you two like to watch some fireworks?"

"Fireworks?"

"Yes, a truly brilliant display of fireworks!"

Dodoria and the others seemed to realize something upon hearing this, but they said nothing.

Soon after, Frieza brought Dodoria and Zarbon to the roof of the spacecraft, where they saw Bardock, who intended to resist Frieza.

Frieza laughed loudly, gathering a massive fiery-red energy sphere at the tip of his right index finger before hurling it toward Planet Vegeta.

Bardock and the soldiers around him were the first to die beneath the energy sphere.

"Why?!"

The Saiyans on Planet Vegeta stared at the sun-like energy sphere, roaring inwardly in extreme unwillingness.

They had served Frieza wholeheartedly, only to end up like this.

Two days later.

Many planets throughout the universe learned of Planet Vegeta's destruction.

However, the news they received was that Planet Vegeta had been destroyed by a massive meteor.

And the one who spread this false news was Frieza.

On a planet somewhere in the universe, Vegeta and his squad had escaped disaster because they had not obeyed Frieza's order to return to Planet Vegeta.

After hearing that Planet Vegeta had been destroyed by a massive meteor, Son Goku's older brother Raditz spoke to Vegeta and Nappa with disbelief in his heart.

"Prince Vegeta, Planet Vegeta... was destroyed after being struck by a massive meteor!"

"What?!"

The other Saiyans in the squad were filled with disbelief upon hearing this.

They were all Saiyans, and Planet Vegeta was their homeworld. Naturally, they found it hard to accept.

Moreover, Planet Vegeta's destruction meant that only a few of them remained of the Saiyan race.

Only Vegeta remained utterly calm as he ate the fruit in his hand.

Raditz said as he looked at Vegeta.

This time, they had originally been supposed to return to Planet Vegeta.

But Vegeta had said they would return after completing their mission, so they had not obeyed Frieza's order.

"Then does that mean only a few of us Saiyans are left?"
